These pens are just the right weight and length for my style of writing. The pen moves smoothly across the page, while the ink doesn't smear or have an "inky" smell like other brands do. this item was ordered as a gift for my girlfriend. I thought that this item would come as a nice addition to some other items that were also bought at the same time. when I received these items they looked nice, three pens and three additional pen refills. as soon as the bag containing the pens was opened and turned stone side down one of the stones had fallen out of the setting. also the stones were made of glass and not plastic as I think would have been more fitting due to the uneven weight on the back end of the pen. when I tried to replace the glass stone into the setting, the stone cracked and would not reattach these items in my opinion are only worth $2 and nothing more. I wish I could convey just how unevenly balanced this pen is while writing. ... show more

These pens are really pretty and even come with three additional ink cartridges -- which means owners can also buy more once the ink that comes with the pens is gone! I am not sure how well they write, or hold up because i was getting them as a gift, but the value for the money seems solid. They are very nice/pretty, and within the clear plastic packaging, each pen is individually wrapped in clear plastic. (They don't come as a box of pens, just clear plastic packaging.) So you could buy a pack of three, add an extra ink cartridge to each pen package, and fold up the end - or seal with a glue dot and get three small gifts out of one package of pens. ... show more

These are expensive and almost impossible to find locally. Amazingly, Amazon had them, even prettier, and with free refills, for barely more than the single, locally purchased pen! The pens are joyfully feminine, write beautifully, and were a delight to decorate for the special girls participating in a wedding! These pens are adorable. I purchased them to go with a journal I bought for my friend when I was in Hawaii. She told me she uses the pens all of the time. So much that she’s actually put the ink refills included to use! I cannot really comment on the finishing of the pens because I did purchase them as a gift for someone else but she hasn’t complained at all about any paint chipping or smudging off of the pens so I’m guessing that’s a good sign.
