I like everything about these mugs; the insulated glass keeps the beverage warm and your hands cool. However, a freak accident which tipped the empty mug over ever so lightly, caused it to crack all over without shattering into pieces. I was so disappointed! I ordered these mugs about three months ago and was surprised at how extremely light they are. (I'd been picturing something more like my set of Pyrex measuring cups!) I've been handling them so carefully, warming them with hot tap water before adding hot tea, only using a wooden stirring stick when adding sugar, and setting them down as gently as possible. (My husband and I had a running joke about respecting the "sacred chalices.") Despite all these precautions, one of them has developed a hairline crack right around the rim. At first we thought we could deal with it, but it got larger and deeper within the first 24 hours, so we've decided not to use that mug anymore. My husband, who hasn't liked having to be so careful, is going back to his 14-year-old ceramic mug, but I'm going to keep using the other one as long as I can, because I really do like it. It does insulate better, and hot beverages taste so wonderfully clean. It would be hard for me to go back to a regular mug after this, but we'll see how much longer this one lasts and go from there! Update: It’s two weeks later, and the second one has developed an even bigger crack. I really wanted these to work for us, but they just don’t. ... show more

These cups are even better than I imagined. The handle is big enough for 3 fingers to go through making it a firm grip. I put them in the dishwasher and microwave if I want my coffee a little hotter. No problems at all. They are beautiful and sturdy. I couldn’t be happier!
