Is my dirt bike street legal? Heck no, I just use it for enduros and stuff. Does it serve its purpose of passing tech check-ins for enduro rides? Heck yeah! This thing servers if purpose as either a marker and/or brake light. Does it replace my stock rear light when I put on a Motocross fender? Heck yeah!     • Great little light, but needed a mod

This light was installed on a 94 XR200R. The XR200R is not made to take a brake/running light, so don't think this is going to drop in if you have an XR200R. I knew that going in and was doing a ground-up wiring job on the bike. That being said, I added on turn-signal/brake light combo lights off to the side of this, but that caused some interesting effects on the turn signals when the brake light lit up. I added a diode in-line to the brake in this rear light and that solved the issue. The whole assembly came apart simply, so the modification was super easy, with only beginner-level soldering skills needed. ... show more

Buying a 2nd light today. Installed the 1st one on a KTM sx350 with a brakelight switch just for some added visibly on trail rides. For 10 bucks they are solid low draw lights. The fender is a bit small, I personally cut the rear most black fender bit off to better match the lines of my bike. Mounting brackets are nice, throw some silicone at the rear of the light to ensure its fully sealed, does not come sealed from factory. ... show more

There is barely any angle on this to utilize it as a functioning license plate holder. When tested it on my KTM xc-f, the plate would end up being completely horizontal and not visible to anyone behind you. Cops wouldn't take kindly to that. The other thing is this this is not sealed. Very similar to tail light extensions on KTM and Beta enduro dirt bikes. Easy to install. Very bright. Relatively strong. Added this to my trials bike to extend my rear fender to keep mud off my back. Don't think this is DOT approved but nice replacement or addition to your dirt bike.

This is a very small tail light. The entire length is just over 12 inches, width is 3.75 inches. The flap part of this doesn't drop down very far, meaning it is not designed for a license tag , as it would be almost straight out. The sides do have holes as to mount turn signals. There is no clear section of the lenses to shine on a tag as some states require. The size would be more for a mini cycle than a full size machine IMO. ... show more
