  • ViewSonic Elite XG270Q , overall, a great monitor.
Style: 27-Inch 165Hz 2K
I've been wanting to upgrade monitors for awhile. Have been looking for something, with a nice balance of gaming and productivity features as I game, and I'm also into photography. Took a chance on the ViewSonic Elite XG270Q and I'm not disappointed. FIrst off, I really like the overall styling and design of the monitor itself. It's understated and doesn't scream gaming monitor. The only branding is the small elite logo and it sort of fades in, so it's not screaming at you as you view the monitor. There is RGB on the back and down firing RGB lights along the bottom bezel. You want to make sure you connect the monitor via USB, and download the Elite Display controller software. This allows you to adjust monitor settings as well as tinker with the RGB settings. Good news is once you use the software to configure the RGB, it's saved to the monitor. So you can use the software once, to setup and never used it again if you like. My copy has no dead pixels and the picture is fairly uniform across the screen. The monitor is detected as G-Sync compatible by my RTX3070. So far in the games I've tried, I haven't noticed any issues with flicker or anything like that. Out of the box color accuracy is ok. Gamers will enjoy it as it's bright and colors are saturated. Since I use this for my photo work as well, I did calibrate it via a Datacolor Spyder 5 to improve color reproduction as best as possible. While not a "pro" grade display for color work, it's excellent though, if you want that mix of gaming and that. I've included some results here, post calibration. ... show more

  • Excellent monitor for the price
Style: 27-Inch 165Hz 2K
This is a great monitor for the money. It has loads of useful features like HDR, built in speakers, multiple visual preset modes, ETC. I haven't used the overclocked refresh rate so mune stays at the native 120 hertz, but this is still plenty fast enough for a casual gamer like myself. If you are looking for a well built, inexpensive monitor with a good feature set then this is a great choice. ... show more

Style: 27-Inch 165Hz 2K
I've used this for a few months and it works great, hdr hi definition videos on YouTube looks jaw droppingly gorgeous. The best monitor I've ever had. So far no dead pixels *update, I have been using this for 1 year and still no problems, the nicest looking monitor I've ever used. the color and clarity is so beautiful. if this isn't oled than I can't wait to see what that'll be like. no regrets with this at all ... show more

  • Nice, bright and featured rich monitor for gaming, movies and editing (Would be great if flawless)
Style: 27-Inch 165Hz 2K
This review is for the XG270Q. I purchased 3. They arrived on time and the packaging was undamaged, although one came with packing tape sealing it the other 2 didn't. The good: The monitors are bright, the color space and depth accurate and good, and 2K resolution well done and you get 165hz through the Display port. 144hz thru the HDMI. Would've been nice if it was 165hz as well. However, as an FYI, when connecting to the HDMI ports you can get 4K@60hz (sometimes it happens and they don't market it for its full capabilities) which is great for photo editing and even console gaming. There is matte finish on the display. The build quality is good, and the base is not too big, nice looking and sturdy. The monitors can be easily raised, tilted, swiveled, and rotated. The added features for a headset hanger, mouse cable guides (which there are 2, one on each side), RGB on the back and underneath the bottom bezel, (which could be brighter maybe but I haven't really tested any good situations for it yet) and USB hub are nice touches that enhance your gaming or desk setup, helping to keep your peripherals organized and look spiffy. In the case of the hub it adds more USB ports for your setup. The HDR is there, not HDR1000 ( this monitor is HDR400) but you notice the difference. It is G-Sync compatible, as my laptop notified me that a G-Sync compatible display was attached and you enable it Nvidia settings. This is just as good as monitors that have G-sync only modules, since it allows for Free sync as well and is less expensive. The bezels on top and sides are narrow and the bottom is not too bad. Overall I like what these monitors have to offer a lot. The On screen menu is fairly easy to use; wish they used another interface to navigate the menu than the joystick knob manufacturers are fond of using. The Bad: 2 monitors have 1 stuck pixel each (not dead pixels) and the other one has 2 stuck pixels. They are not dead center but close to it. So QC/QA isn't 100% and these are relatively expensive monitors and Viewsonic is a reputable company known for nice and quality displays. There are no other physical issue with them, and the light bleeding is pretty close to non-existent but now I am wondering with what ifs. Do more pixels get stuck or are there other issues that may arise. So check everything out before your 30 days expire, which mine hasn't yet. And keep the boxes in case something does arise before the 30 days. So 4 stars. The other issue, which is common with many monitors is that when certain settings are enabled other settings are blocked from customizing. Like I said before I haven't gone through all the settings but it would nice to be able to change settings slightly when selecting a certain mode or enabling Adaptive sync. I'm sure they optimize it but everyone has different eyes. This isn't a deal breaker though. This a great monitor if it's flawless. ... show more

  • No issues after 3+ years of daily use
Style: 27-Inch 165Hz 2K
I can't recall when I bought this - I think it was sometime in 2021 when I upgraded my laptop. I use the monitor 10hrs daily- It has always performed well, crisp & sharp - never faltering in any way i can see - but I am not an avid gamer so don't know if there are features specific to gaming.

  • Very good 2K monitor so far
Style: 27-Inch 165Hz 2K
So far this has been a good replacement for the Dell 1080p monitor I had and destroyed by accident. I don't do any gaming but the VESA mount, resolution, price, and performance met all my needs. I turned off the distracting lighting feature on the back and bottom. Those must be a thing for gamers. Lighter than the Dell and the picture quality is nice. Liking the increase in resolution of the 27 in model. ... show more

  • Best Gaming Display I’ve ever used!!
Style: 27-Inch 165Hz 2K
The media could not be loaded. I bought this monitor in January 1/2021 from Amazon for $479. The price has since gone up to $499! Definitely hard to find quality monitors since the start of the pandemic. This was the best option for me because I have a PS5, Series X, and a gaming PC (GTX 1080 founders edition). For PC I set it to 144hz. For my PS5 it’s set to 4k 60hz, and for my Series X It’s set to 1440p 120hz. The versatility and quality of this monitor is unmatched for the price. It supports 2 HDMI (2.0)and 1 Display Port (1.4) for inputs. ... show more
