They recommend you fill the filter about 2/3 with coffee grounds for the best taste, but I find that halfway full is fine for my taste buds. I would normally get the Starbucks or Stoks brand store bought 48oz cold brew. I did the math, and with this setup I am getting SIX TIMES the amount of coffee I normally do by buying that stuff. This is with 10% Kona blends (around $6.63 per 10 oz). If I really wanted to, I could get 100% Kona coffee, brew it myself, and end up spending about the same amount as I was at the store. So far, the 10% Kona blends have been doing it for me, but it's good to know I won't really be spending that much if I wanna spritz for pure Kona. This thing is amazing. ... show more

One great thing is you can use it for cold brew but also drinks but the issue with other drinks is that there's a filter before it comes out of the spout so if the drink has settlements- it will clog it. I made a cocktail with guava necter and the juice itself is thicker and so it didn't work very well. Otherwise with clear liquids this is amazing. The options are wide from fruit infused water, tea, and coffee. It's super nice and I love the glass. Comes with a brush to help you clean it. I honestly love this and recommend it! ... show more

I was very hesitant to purchase this after seeing the negative reviews and the price tag, but I ultimately decided to take the gamble. Glad I did! It was packaged well, no breakages. Got it all cleaned up and threw a batch of cold brew into the fridge. It came out awesome! But I figured I'd give it a few more uses before popping in a review. It's been 4 weeks since I bought it. Each brew lasts me about a week so I've had a good 4 brews out of it so far. When taking it out to clean and get it ready for the next brew I make sure to avoid any temperature stress to the glass. Either washing it in cold water if it's straight out of the fridge or letting it sit out to room temperature before washing. The glass has held up well, no breakages. I'm in love with this thing and, as someone who used to stop for a cold brew at Dunkin every morning before work, I know it's saved me a fair bit of money over the past month! ... show more

Once you go cold brew, you'll have a hard time going back. The coffee tastes great, and the system is super easy to use. Also great that there's no paper filters. Started making my own because I didn’t care for the bitterness the concentrates had, and it was just getting too pricey. I chose this one due to the size… I do love my cold brew! It does fit perfect on the shelf in the fridge as well. It does feel like I’m going through a lot of coffee following the included recipe, but I can’t deny it tastes great. I also have found you need to pay attention to the faucet, it does drip a drop or two after you close the valve. I love how quick and easy it is to clean, the filter especially. Making cold brew is so much cheaper than buying. Nice that I can make a whole gallon to last all week. I steep mine for 2-3 days on the counter and fill the basket half to 3/4 the way full. Perfect batch every time.
