    • Great grip without being gritty
This roll has a pretty bright glow, even if it's a little spotty at times; that's ultimately not a big deal. It seems like people use this to light a pathway after dark, and for that purpose, I imagine it would work well for a few minutes, but it's not really going to provide a clear pathway after a few minutes in darkness. Just walk fast! This also has a very good grip to it, and it doesn't seem to shed a lot of particles, if any. This is still pretty new so this may change over time, but for now, this is totally fine. The adhesive is pretty solid as well and makes good initial contact; not sure if this will start peeling over time but we'll see! I'm just gonna stick it on pogs!     • Sticks well, glows brightly after being exposed to light to "charge" it.
The grit feels nice and aggressive, and offers a nice anti-slip surface. the adhesive is good, and bonds with most clean surfaces really well. The material is polymer based, so the grit won't shed like it does with paper backed skateboard tapes. The color in lighted rooms is a light lemon lime tone. In darkness, the material glows a really bright green color when exposed to light recently. The glow fades over a few minutes, and within about five minutes is is barely noticeable. It could be a decent egress making, since it glows for several minutes after lights go out. One of my issues with the material are spots where the material doesn't glow as much as the rest of the tape. The spots are infrequently distributed on the roll, but every foot or so, there's a small area, about the size of a dime, to the size of a quarter, where in darkness, it looks like a dark dirty spot. When the lights are on, I don' see anything o the surface, so I'm not sure what causes it. It's not a big deal, but something I feel I need to mention in the review. M other issue is that the material is on a fairly small in diameter roll, and in some areas, the adhesive liner is bunches up, separating from the adhesive. That leaves the potential for dust and debris getting under the backing and sticking to the adhesive, which could prevent I from sticking in some spots. before I used it, I unrolled a few feet of it and peeled the baking off so I could use a roller to re-apply it so there was no exposed adhesive. Doing that also made it easier to lay out the shape I needed to cut out. Overall, I really like the product. I'm using it to make treads for the walkway between our swim spa and the house. It's adding a nice non-slip surface, and if the lights are turned off, I have a glowing path to walk along. ... show more

    • Perfect for my skateboards and scooters
This is exactly what I wanted for some of my skateboards and scooters, mostly for the novelty of it. The glow effect is bright enough to be noticed in the dark but I wouldn't rely on it as a safety feature on the road at night. The glow slowly fades after a few minutes but you can quickly "recharge" it with a UV flashlight. There is lots of grip tape here and you can easily cover several boards or scooter platforms. The grippy part is fine, and it does glow, although it instantly begins to fade as you bring your board inside. I got this stuff for my longboard/skateboard/electric skateboard, and it's not the best for that purpose. I cleaned my deck with alcohol, let it dry, and tried to use this stuff. It has perforations all throughout, so that helps to alleviate any bubbles, but I couldn't get it to lie flat over the concave portions of this Byron Essert Carbon Frog Deck. Then, it was too fragile when cutting it out. You have to be so diligent and careful, one little slip and my blade sliced right through the parts that I didn't file down... Then, the whole sheet peeled right off, far too easily. I salvaged what was left by using it on a different deck, my electric skateboard, where I wouldn't endure so much concave, and it worked out better. I was extra careful cutting it out this time, so it's usable on this second try. ... show more

    • Not reflective - but glows in the dark

Looking at the tape, I think I see it glitter a bit, but after testing, this doesn't have any useful reflective-ness to it. I have attached a piece in a dark room and use my flashlight and it doesn't stand out at all. The glow-in-dark is not considered reflective. The piece I used wasn't exposed to light much and didn't have the glowing effect, and doesn't reflect light to help people spot this in the dark. The glow in the dark portion does work. As with any glow-in-the-dark item though, it needs to first be in light/sunlight for certain amount of time and will only last a certain amount of time depending on the intensity and duration of light. The stickiness seems decent, but I have not tested it on a skateboard or anything with a rougher surface. The texture of this tape though is very rough. It reminds me of a rougher nail filer or similar to the surface of skateboards. So the anti-grip part seem to be there. I will be trying this on my snowboard (for where the stomper will be). I will see how well this tape works with the element of snow (water). ... show more

Glowing grip tape has 1000s of uses, and this right here is of decent quality. The glow needs "charged" but will definitely glow. Grip is Good. Adhesive is ok depending on usage. Overall this is awesome and well worth the price ^_^

    • Wrinkles in the tape

Overall the adhesive was good, the backing wasn't too hard to peel off, the grip was excellent and the size was as expected. The only issue was that the tape had wrinkles about a third of it. When installing, you can still see the wrinkle somewhat. If that's not a concern for you (it wasn't really for me but I can see it being an issue for most) then you may have to ask them for a replacement. ... show more

Will be using this for safety during inclement weather to prevent accidents at the front and rear stairways. As an ex skateboarder from the 1980s/1990s. Safety first.
