This little speaker is a game changer!!!! I am a PE teacher of 26 years. If only I had found this 20 years ago! My voice would've been saved. I like this better than Bluetoothing my voice to a speaker that sits on the other side of my gym... That would throw me and the kids off to hear my voice coming from the other side of the gym when I did use the Bluetooth. My voice sounds like it's coming me (instead of somewhere else) and I can talk softly and kids can hear me clear across the gym. I love this speaker. My daughter started this year as a little league recreational cheer coach for little girls age group four to six. I decided to surprise her with a reasonably priced PA system that she could use for practice. When I conducted the search here on Amazon, the voice amplifier's which I did not even know existed, were displayed. After looking at all of the options including blue tooth, I settled on this one. There is no worry of blue tooth signal loss, and the sound moves with the operator as opposed to a stationary speaker. I felt that this would be best because the girl's attention would follow her movements along with the sound of her voice through the amplifier. She received it today and sent me a text with five red hearts telling me how much she loves it. She said it is clear, audible, and loves the volume range. She also loved the accessories. As I knew after watching the video, this is absolutely a great product. Since I recently turned age 69, I'm going to get one for myself that visitors can use and save the expense on a pricey hearing aid. ... show more

I still think this ZOWEETEK voice amplifier is a decent value... but it has feedback issues. When worn around the neck using the included strap, if you're anywhere near full volume, even the slightest glance downward will result in feedback (at least, it did for me). I had to abandon my plan of wearing the speaker unit around my neck, over my middle chest, and use the best clip instead - which (ALMOST completely) solved the feedback problem because of the increased distance between the mic and the speaker. Also, as others have noted, you really need to have the mic VERY close to your mouth to get a full amplification effect - like, practically touching your lips. That said, the device arrived with everything promised and working - and the speaker unit was fully charged right out of the box (a nice touch). For $30, it's still a decent value. ... show more

Best bang for your buck if you’re an educator! I use it everyday when teaching. When I’m not speaking I move the mic arm away from my mouth and turn it off to extend battery life for that charge but leave it on my body for quick access to click on again. I wear mine like a belt and find the least amount of cord issues with it like this. I get headaches from tight headbands and headphones so I actually wear the headset around my neck and angle my mic accordingly and it still works like a charm (as seen in photos)! Sound quality and volume control has been excellent, even in a noisy or large room. I’ve thought about buying the wireless headset and plug from this ZOWEETEK brand to go with the speaker, but I’ve held off as it seems the witless headset battery is quite a bit smaller and wouldn’t fit my needs as well. I don’t mind being wired in though sometimes, due to being so short, I have to finesse the cord so feedback doesn’t occur. However it’s not too much of a hassle to worry about. The mic helps project my voice through my mask it without any issues. I keep my mic on the outside of my mask but it could certainly be tucked inside if that is comfortable for you. If you don’t wear one then your voice will sound even louder and crisper than it does with a mask on. I use this little mic and speaker combo pretty much all day every day in the classroom. I leave it in the room to charge overnight and it’s always ready to go the next the day for class. There have been only a handful of times it’s “died” during teaching (you can tell the battery is low by how the sound quality and overall power of the audio changes). I believe this was due to it getting bumped by custodial staff in the night and the charging cord loosening. When this has happened I just take it off, plug it in and leave it alone for 20-30 minutes. This usually charges it up enough for me to get through the remainder of the day or get me until plan time when I can charge it for longer but again this has rarely had to be done. Otherwise, I’ve never had any issues with it. It saves my voice on the regular. One week due to horrid allergies and multiple other speaking/singing/family gatherings on the weekend, I lost my voice almost completely. Thankfully I was still able to teach my Kinders thanks to this mic being powerful enough to pick up what little voice I still had left without straining it more. I use this mic for pretty much everything, even used it at field day, which was amazing (lots of compliments and admiration from parent volunteers who wished they had a mic that day)! I’m a substitute who specializes in longterm assignments. Last year I was with a group of Kinders for 7 1/2 months and I used this everyday. It allows me to avoid straining my voice and helps me not become a “yeller” teacher, which I can’t stand and don’t want to be! I do not feel that benefits anyones learning experiences and it can easily impact a room/environment negatively if one is not careful. To avoid that, I use my mic! Also, this setup is so much better than the old teardrop Bluetooth mics the district I work in has where the speakers are in the ceiling. I can even use this mic in the hallway, gym, outside, and any other number of locations it might come in handy (see photos). I will be bringing this with me in my teacher go bag for all my future day-to-day assignments until my next long-term comes up. I will continue to use it when I get my own classroom in the future, as well! If you’re an educator looking for a great quality mic, that lasts all day on a full charge with wise usage, saves your voice, is portable, and doesn’t cost a crazy amount then I would strongly encourage you to give this one a try! The readers in my play readers group have used these Zoweetek voice amplifiers for three months in our small theater, so now I can report that these devices are excellent. The readers can now hold a script without having to contend with a handheld mic, thus being free to gesture and move about without tripping over long cords. The sound quality is superb. Each device requires adjustment for proper loudness depending on the normal voice of the reader, with the middle setting usually being the best. If it’s set too high for a voice, there’s slight feedback which is easy to correct by turning the volume down a notch. I first ordered only one as a test, then ordered more in a batch. For some reason, the first one doesn’t hold a charge quite as long—though it’s acceptable—as the ones in the batch order, which last for quite a few performances before needing to be recharged. They charge in a very short time, and being lithium batteries, they never die during a performance the way alkaline batteries in handheld mics did. Highly recommended. ... show more
