It definitely cannot be used as a sleeping mat. Too thin to lie on it comfortably. It's not soft nor cushiony. Unfortunately, I can't return it since we used it for guests the day after its delivery. It also could not be covered using a queen size fitted sheet. It kept curling up on the edges and just didn't fit. King size fitted sheet was too big. It's a good value for the price and very convenient as a portable mattress. I like to lay down and hang out on the floor, and it's comfortable enough for me since I sleep better on a firm surface. I chose the thinnest option because I wanted it to be easy to fold and not too heavy when traveling, and it does the job well. I would even take it camping. However, if you're not looking for a portable mattress, there are other brands that are more comfortable. Comfort is minimal as it is not very padded. Quality is good, not excellent as it is not stain resistant. The cover is not removable. Folds easily but is heavy and not easy to store back in the accompanying bag. Could be less expensive.
