We haven't used them yet but the zippers feel sturdy as does the lining. The built in TSA locks are convenient. The color said light blue (which was the only color that showed would arrive next day) but it is actually a gorgeous turquoise!

I checked the bag on a recent flight from Philadelphia to Boise, with a connection in San Fran. Those are not the best airports for luggage and the bag held up perfectly. I carried on for the return flight and it fit into the overhead great on both United and Delta. Fit a lot more stuff than I expected and worked well through the airport and TSA.
