    • Low Cost Dent Repair Hammer/Accessories
I accidentally dropped my 62 Quart Stainless Steel Pot and put a small dent in the bottom. It was probably not something I needed to worry about and it didn't really affect my ability to do Crab and Crawfish Boils. However, it bugged me. So I bought this low cost tool to see if it would help. I used a heat gun and then this hammer with one of the "tips" to pound out the dent. It is now hardly noticeable (if you didn't know it was there you wouldn't notice it) and the pot sits level again. For the low price, the quality of this product is good. The hammer seems well made enough that I would never have to replace it with my limited use plans. Definitely not just a throw-away item. You get a hammer with two hard rubber ends (one end may be plastic, not sure). You get a metal (probably aluminum) piece which you hit with the hammer on one end. On the other end it is threaded for one of the many "tips" which can be installed. Since I was just flattening out a dent, I just used a flat head piece. There are rounded ones and somewhat pointy ones. The tips are made of plastic, not rubber. Since I heated up my stainless steel pot before pounding out the dent, there was thin plastic residue left on the pot of the tip melting a bit. However, it didn't deform the tip (still totally usable and you probably wouldn't even notice) and the plastic wiped off the pot easily. Would I use this kit to try to repair a dent/ding on a car I really cared about? No. I probably wouldn't use any kit and would pay for paintless dent repair (and I have). I wouldn't even trust myself using a high-end expensive kit. However, this works great as a low cost tool to repair dents in things that don't have to look absolutely perfect, whether that is an older car you just don't want to look bad or something like a pot or pan. The zipelo 10PCS Car Dent Repair Tool is a plastic hammer with different shaped tips to use to remove dents. A couple of things, after I got this I realized this is the 2nd step in dent removal. This set seems to fine tune the job. You chose a tip based on the shape or size of the partially fixed dent, where you pulled the metal out first generally using hot glue. This tool helps smooth out any high spots produced from that process. It takes time to figure out and I read to work from the outsides inward if the area is larger. The hammer has a decent weight to it. The orange piece that the tips screw into is lightweight. The tips are light plastic and most are not smooth. No instructions are included. ... show more

The tips are plastic as I found out. Maybe it won’t make a difference, maybe it’s better? Not sure until I try it out on this ding I have to push outward. Hoping the fact the tips are plastic and not metal won’t change the efficacy of the tool.
