I was excited to try this case for my new phone! As someone who spends long periods of time using their phone, I virtually never leave the house without a mobile charging block for my phone and I feel like I am always plugging my phone in to give it more juice. As a disclaimer and a credit to Apple, the battery life on the new iPhone 13 Pro Max pretty much solved the problem of having to be plugged in all day by itself. Even on a day where I use my phone a lot, the battery has lasted me from the time I wake up in the morning until the time I go to bed without needing any additional charges. With all that said, there were some pros and cons I noticed with the Zero Lemon case. Pros The case appears to be very durable. Having a brand new iPhone with 23 months of payments left on it, I was understandably not very eager to test the limits of this case, but it did sustain a small drop of about 3 feet onto hardwood flooring and there was no visible sign of damage to the case or my phone and I would feel confident in its ability to protect my phone even when contacting harder surfaces. Additionally, the back of the case provides a significant well to protect the camera that naturally juts out of the back of the phone quite a bit. The battery life, between the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the extra juice stored in the battery pack in the case, should allow you 3 days of phone use before you have to plug your phone into a wall. When you plug this phone in with the case the phone will charge first, and once the phone has charged the battery on the case will begin charging. As someone who loves to plan multi-day backpacking trips into the woods, I’m really looking forward to using this case to get me through those trips without the need to pack bulkier mobile chargers and cords. The power button on the back of the case allows you to control when you use the battery pack in the case to charge the phone and has 4 lights beside to show the charge level of the battery in the case. Cons The case is a bit bulky. It was difficult to store this phone in my jeans pockets when the case was on it and I regularly had to either sit my phone down somewhere if I was stationary in a room or store it in a bag if I was on the go. If you purchased the Max version of the iPhone though, you likely already welcome the challenge of sporting a large phone. The second inconvenience I noticed while using this case was that the edges of the case that come around the front of the phone were pushing against my screen protector creating little air bubbles in the corners and along the sides of the screen protector. I should note that Zero Lemon does provide a durable screen protector that comes with the case but I had already had a screen protector on my phone and decided to keep the screen protector I was already using on it. This may or may not be a problem when using the screen protector provided with the case and following all installation instructions. This overall is a very minor inconvenience, but worth noting if you plan to continue using a screen protector that is already applied on your phone. Finally, the speed at which the case charges the phone is a little slow, though the ability to take it wherever you need to go without having to wait before you unplug the phone mostly offsets this. For reference, I waited until my iPhone 13 Pro Max was at 21% battery life before turning on the battery pack. After 1 hour of charging through the battery pack (with minimal phone use during that time) the phone was up to 52% charge. The phone battery reached 80% charge after 1 hour 55 minutes of charging on the pack, and the phone reached 100% charge after 2 hours and 45 minutes of charging on the pack. The battery pack was able to charge my phone from 24% to 80% the second round before the battery pack in the case finally ran out of charge. Hello y'all, I have nothing but positive things to say about the case and the service behind the company. I bought a case for my iPhone 13 Pro Max , it worked for about a month then the case stopped charging my phone even tho the case showed power. I emailed Zero Lemon and Joey was so kind to answer my concerns and even took the time to troubleshoot the problem. He later shipped me a label to return my defected case, within a day or two I got my replacement case ! “Happy Case - Happy Life“ I will buy my wife a case for her new phone now that I know that this company will take care of me. 1 star for construction/durability of the case... Very big and sturdy... negative 10 stars on reliability (stopped working) negative 10 star's customer service was horrible I will leave it at that... Finally had to go through Amazon to try to get refund

    • Good Case + Battery Support, well worth it!!
I'm a hardcore tech guys who is very particular on what I buy and use in support of that job. I've read the reviews where people were either just ok with it or downright against it. 1 - this battery case is a 'beast'!! yes its large and heavy but that's what was expected for the size battery it is 2 - bought the belt 'case' too. 100% like getting an Otterbox case with belt support. have no issues handing on belt. 3 - So far, so good. I can go an entire day without worrying about running out of power. 4 - Wish it was MagSafe, but given its size and weight, can understand why not. Overall extremely happy with purchase. Will update in 3 months after using daily. 'Only' ding was it came with a screen protector that was cracked in the upper right corner. I did 'check' to see it would fit with the case, and does without issues. Finally, it did come with a replacement 'top cover' which was a nice touch. UPDATE #2 Ran test where the battery case and iPhone 13 Pro Max were FULLY charged, then without any external support ran them until BOTH were depleted. The battery case provided 100% 'trickle charging' for 23 hours before having to result to the iPhones internal battery power. Add about 8-10 hours of usage from iPhone, and you have a combo that will last without charging support in excess of a FULL days usage!! WiFi is always on, screen brightness @100%, cell interface usage about 10 hrs daily. Trust me, I beat the crap out of tech gear and am EXTREMELY happy with this purchase. I know others have commented negatively about this product, but my 'guess' is that they either do not understand how to use such a device, or that they complain for the heck of it, never being satisfied. If I decide to upgrade to an iPhone 15 Pro Max, I'll give this case to my better half once ZeroLemon fully comes out with a similar battery case. The only reason to migrate to 15 PM is it having a USB-C interface, thus removing the various Lightning cables, cases, etc. and standardize on USB-C for ALL my tech stuff. ... show more

I have to admit...I placed my phone in the battery case but have yet to use it so I cannot comment on the battery life. I purchased the battery case for when I start to travel again and need my phone to stay alive on long work days. It's pretty heavy BUT I LIKE that, it's also very sturdy. My only critic or suggestion is...the case is that it's too large to fit properly in a caddy, which is why the company should consider adding a magnetic back or selling a magnet separately as an accessory.
