I had a problem with my automatic washer and chose to get this for a temporary solution til we could figure out the electrical problem with the regular machine. It works fine for almost everything, except extra large things like a comforters and very heavy items. I agree with other posters that it could be a bit too rough for delicate items (lacy, silky, etc.), but those I would do by hand anyway. I do a few items at a time, to get best agitation with small loads. This machine did show me one problem I had but didn't know it. My regular washer was not rinsing the soap out of cottons like sweat pants, towels, etc. After using much less soap than I would normally use, I had to do multiple rinses on my first batch of cottons, I suspected it was left over from before. So, I put clean bath towels in plain water in the Zuny and then watched as soap foam came out of my cottons which had been washed in the automatic. When I do go back to automatic, I'll run those kinds of items through a couple rinse cycles after washing. ... show more

Lightweight. It has survived outside on a semi a covered patio and two rain storms. The pump is so quiet i thought it was broken but it drains quickly. Tips: get a flower lint trap and elevate the washer so it drains quicker and keeps it dry. I have mine on a set of pavers. Put strappy clothes in a zippered "delicates" bag so they don't tangle. Doesn't require much to get started. I use the garden hose to fill up the tub. Only requires a tablespoon of soap per load. I can wash a queen duvet in one load and 1 queen sheet and 2pillowcases in another. I can wash 2 twin sheets and a pillowcase in one load. I can wash an entire weeks worth of clothes for a toddler and myself in one load. Plug and play set up. Do not run the spinner at the same time you are washing or you risk burning the motor. I wanted a second washer because I got tired of running downstairs to my basement to catch the rinse cycle to add fabric softener. Therefore, I purchase this washer so I can wash upstairs. I had two portable washers before I got this one. Both made my Kuppet. The first one had black stuff falling from underneath. I believe it was the belt. I returned that one. The second one had a nail come out the drain hose and the washing compartment kept stopping from overheating. I was only on my second load when it kept stopping. Therefore, I returned that one. Then, today, I got my Zeny. I love this washing machine. Very strong wash action and excellent at spinning clothes damp dry. I have a separate spin dryer that spins at 3200 rpms. I put the clothes in it after spinning them for 4 minutes in my Zeny and it was barely any water coming out. No need to use it if I am washing my clothes in my Zeny. My only complaint with this washer is the clothes do get tangled, but they are CLEAN. My clothes are cleaner from this washer than they are from my year old Maytag commercial washer. I am very, very happy with my Zeny and hopes it lasts me for years to come. If you want a good portable washer, this is the one to get. ... show more

Wow is the main word I use to describe what kind of clean you get with this washer. I have never...NEVER had cleaner clothes. We all have those shirts we keep even if they have a stain...THIS MACHINE has gotten rid of 5 year old stains!!!!!! Hubs works as a new construction plumber. Lots of holes to climb in and out of. His socks were crispy after coming our of a regular washer and still dingy. This little machine gets his socks SOFT!!!! I LOVE the fact I can SEE how clear or dirty the rinse water is and I can get his clothes sparkling clean while STILL using less water!!! Yes, this little dynamo works well AND is great for the environment!!! Doing an average load...which is a third of my old regular load, I use about 12-16 gallons (depending on the dirtiness level where I can use one to 4 gallons to rinse). I have only used a regular washer during the last 9 months for a blanket which was too big for my little washer. 10/10 Thinking about buying another because it just works SO WELL and that means I could do it twice as fast. ... show more

    • Worked fine after I reattached the belt!
Washer portion did not work out of the box. Motor and timer worked fine but there was no movement inside the washer itself. Spinner works great, clothes are barley damp and line dry in less than an hour. Emailed seller and surprisingly received an email the following morning advising me to remove back panel and reattach belt. Fixing the problem sounded easy, however, there is very limited space inside the machine to reattach the belt. If this is a common problem then the manufacturer needs to redesign or at least make access to the area easier. Overall, it really is powerful and gets the clothes clean and all but dries them! ... show more
