I previously purchased a different style of weighted vest, which you can adjust the weights. I really did not like the design of that vest because, although it was designed for women, I felt like it pulled down too much on the chest and that area certainly does not need to be pulled down! Haha! I was looking for one designed like this that where I could still adjust the weights. I ran into this one, which has been made popular since a certain brand of home exercise equipment has added a few treadmill workouts with weighted vests. I was worried I wouldn't like that you can't adjust the weight, but, so far, I really like it! I got the 15 lb one and it seems just right. I often work out in the AM or mid-day and am on a sports team in the evening. It's about a mile walk to exercise class, so, I wear this on the walk too and from, and sometimes do a 30 min stair run/walk after working out, or, just walk/jog back. This is perfect because I'm not worn out, but, you do definitely know you're putting in more effort. You can jog easily or walk, or, really do whatever you want. Other reviewers say they keep this on while doing household chores, for example. It does have a smell, but, I kept it outside for a few days on my balcony after I was done exercising and now it's fine. The second day I had it, I left it overnight in my car and it didn't make my car smell or anything like that. It is just the normal smell that comes with Neoprene. I think it's a good value for this kind of product. I bought this instead of another similar one because it came with a bag for your phone, etc., but, I admit I haven't used the bag. I use my normal crossbody bag over the weighted vest, so that the crossbody bag strap isn't trapped. It's a little awkward, but, it works for the short distances I've used it so far.

This is the best weighted vest BUT and this is huge there is a strong chemical smell. I've had this vest for a few months. I figured it just needed to be aired out but that's did not help. Its still very strong after a few months. NOW I LOVE this vest. With the phone case that is removable. 2 straps to keep things in place extra pouch in the back for who knows what. Its comfortable. And its good price. But the smell is what's holding me back.

Well-distributed weight and comfortable but certainly does have a chemical smell and feels strange if wearing without several layers between skin and vest. Normal sweatshirt doesn’t seem to be thick enough to prevent the strange skin feeling that I think is tied into the smell. I may be sensitive, so if not a concern for you, it works great!

I bought this to help prepare for a hiking trip this summer. Works well and the weight is evenly distributed. The price was reasonable. I find that the extra weight also helped make my workouts a bit more rigorous. I can wear as I work in the yard. It is very comfortable. I highly recommend. Critique: The pocket on the front is a bit small... could be a bit larger. Also, the back mesh pocket is pretty useless. Imposable to reach while using it and is not very firm. Things can flop out and you would not know it because it is behind you.
