  • Moses's Sandals! What A Drill!
Style: Updated 1550W/2"
The media could not be loaded. Yeah you can get you a 250$ 21v cordless OR This total opposite of that So far out of the box I am amazed. This is really a more serious drill than I expected. First of all it weighs 50 pounds The delivery guy handed it to me anf I could not carry it to the workshop. Unboxing this drill was an experience in absurdly large and oversized products. It's huge! I thought I was getting something very cheap, small, and inconsequential. After all, it's the cost of a nice name brand cordless drill for Pete's sake. There are consequences just moving this around. It ran when I turned it on that was good. You cannot drill unless the magnet is switched on. I found that out. It won't drill with it off. The shanks are 1" which surprised me. I was thinking they would be 3/4" . I ran it up to 650 rpm and thinking 650 was slow beforehand after running that speed it seems sufficient for high speed drilling. Slowest it turns was faster than anticipated but slow. I have not checked it with an indicator dial yet but it seems to run true enough for now. Can I dream of adapting this drill into a mill? Or a lathe in some weird and inventive system of adapters I could attach it to? I could. The coolant tank is included It is also larger in capacity and also I'll say in quality than expected. It has a valve to control flow of coolant or drilling fluids. The whole thing is like a big pizza pie in my eye. In other words looks great, greater than advertising pictures does it justice. I will be drilling with this for sure. Maybe even invent ways to do absurd things with it like bore cylinder bores or hone engine sleeves. It seems to have alot of capabilities if a steel baseplate were custom created for the application desired. So there's a lot of adapter plate mods to fit the machine onto objects or materials which you want to drill through, bore out, line bore, maybe seat or face like a milling machine I don't know let me dream ok... ... show more

  • Slow and steady without breaking the bank.
Style: Updated 1550W/2"
I needed a cheap mag drill for a project and this fit the bill perfectly. Overall, it is slow to drill through 3/16" plate at 1.5" diameter, but slow and steady got the job done without breaking the bank.

  • Not overly happy, lots of power with some issues
Style: Updated 1550W/2"
Very powerful, drills well but some of the gib adjusters were loose and some were to tight, spring holding the pinion mechanism was loose almost off, tried to readjust the gibs and most were stripped out, couldn’t wait to return and reorder so I had to order a heli-coil set, was able to use as it arrived but now I have to tear it apart to repair the threads and correctly adjust the tension on the gibs so it doesn’t fall or drag when drilling, typical things to expect when ordering Chinese junk on Amazon ... show more

  • Mag drill
Style: Updated 1550W/2"
I'm very happy with this drill. The magnet on it is crazy powerful. Ther is no way you can pull it off a 1 inch plate. 5 people tried. Two guys even tried lurching on it together, and it never moved. Motor is powerful. Glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews. Definitely use cutting oil when drilling steel. Makes life a lot easier. I just drilled 20, 1/2 inch holes in a 1/4 inch piece of C channel on the edge, that is only 2 inches wide. Mag held no sweat. So far so good. ... show more

  • Tough drill, makes life so much easier
Style: Updated 1550W/2"
Worked great for what I needed and still going. I drilled 64 holes in 3/8" carbon steel with 5/16, followed by 64 - 1/2" holes and then followed by 64 more holes with a 5/8" bit and still going. The magnet does not F around either, I'm 200lbs and can hang off of it, I'm sure thats not recommended, had to find out though ... show more
