This is a gorgeous self-adhesive paper for walls, cabinets or countertops and so many other potential projects. I used contact paper pretty extensively back in the day, but the product has come a long way since then. The description refers to this textured paper as being good for beginners, but I'm not sure I agree. I've only recently begun working with peel & stick paper for various projects (covering drawer fronts, lining drawers and shelves and most often, decorating my hand-made hat boxes). I found this textured paper to be great to look at but rather tricky to install, even when I am not putting large swathes of it up on a wall. I would like to use it on a wall, but our house has textured walls and I have found that no paper really works well. Since I have so many projects going and I have tried quite a few different types of self adhesive paper, I have gone with a quick and easy trial run before getting started. I cut two pieces, one small and one large and apply them to my refrigerator and a closet door respectively. This way I can know how well the paper will adhere to different surfaces, if it can be repositioned, if I am likely to need extra glue and if it is prone to stretching, shrinking or forming bubbles. I also know whether it is easy to remove the next day. If so, I put the smaller piece on a ceramic cup to check for water resistance, and to see if it is easy to clean. As another reviewer mentioned, this paper does seem to have a hint of silver, but that is really just the light reflecting off of the intricate, embossed design. I think it looks stunning. The paper has good adherence, but I have a hard time getting it to lie smoothly in place. I can lift and reposition it, but then I seem to get some hard to remove bubbles (even if I am just removing a small amount of backing at a time). Thanks to the warning of another reviewer, I work slowly and carefully + I use a cloth to try to ease out the bubbles and not a plastic card as I normally would. I'm using this for an armoire and I'm glad I started with the interior shelves and panels. So, I got some much-needed practice before starting on the outside panels. I'm very happy with the results. The price is a little higher than the other peel & stick papers I have been using. But this embossed paper is thick, fairly heavy and it looks so nice once I am finished that I think it is worth it. It just seems to fuse with the underlying surface for a professional looking finish. It isn't as easily removable as other papers, but it is easy to wipe clean. I think it is well worth the extra cost.

This is just gorgeous! The pattern is super unique and the texture just elevates it that much more! Relatively easy to apply. Clean the area then work in small sections. *pro tip: i got a container of rubbing alcohol wipes (similar to disinfectant wipes) and they made prepping the area so much easier than using a rag and a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Also a silicone squeegee! The product allows a small room for error to where if you work in small enough sections, if you notice a bubble.or that your application is slightly crooked, you can gently lift it back up (ever-so-gently)! There's no flexibility in the material but it did not rip or tare easily. The backing is super helpful to mark your measurements and also keep your lines straight.

really nice pattern and material that is super easy to install. The pattern is super clean and visible and the 3D look of it is amazing. I do find that it does tear easily and the grip of the adhesive is really strong.

Dramatic wallpaper is always so fun to look at, but I wouldn't want to overwhelm a room with it, so I was really pleased to have a reason to do something different. I have a bar area in my home - my home which was built in the late eighties. Mirrors were really really really popular in the eighties. And I loved them in the eighties. But it's now a quarter of the way through the 21st century, and as much as I still love the eighties, the mirror look wasn't working for me. Reflecting everything on the bar gave it a very cluttered look and something had to be done. So I picked this dramatic black wallpaper. And I'm not sorry. Here is why I took the two stars off. Not only does it bubble easily, but it crinkles easily. It took a couple of hours just to get it onto the panels of the mirrors because so much time was needed to scrap out the bubbles, and if you look at my pictures closely, you'll see that I didn't completely succeed. However, no one is going to stand and stare at my bar which one only visits for coffee or a drink, so this will do for now. I've worked with contact paper before, and it is very possible to have good adhesion without bubbling and crimping, so that needs to be worked on to get five stars. Especially at this price. But the design is 100% awesome.
