I recently purchased the ZealSound USB Microphone for my live streaming and gaming setup, and I have to say, it's been a great addition to my setup. Speaking of which, the included stand works great and holds the microphone securely. In terms of performance, this microphone does not disappoint. The three-capsule array does a fantastic job of capturing audio from different angles, resulting in clear and detailed sound recording. The four pickup patterns, including cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional, and stereo, give me the flexibility I need for various recording situations. Plus, being able to switch patterns on-the-fly is a huge time-saver. The audio clarity of this microphone is outstanding. With a frequency response of 192kHz/24bit, it delivers a balanced audio range that resonates well with my audience. The higher resolution recording captures finer details, especially important for instruments with extended harmonics. It also allows for extensive post-processing without distorting high-frequency sounds. One feature that I really appreciate is the inclusion of more function keys. This is a good mic for the money. It sounds good and all of the controls work well. It was very easy to setup. Just plug it in and go to the sound settings on your computer and select the microphone labeled "K66 Microphone" as the input, and you're good to go. I like that this mic has 4 polar patterns to choose from. Cardioid, omnidirectional, bi-directional, and stereo. Although a Tone knob to easily adjust vocal clarity would have also been helpful. From looking at the literature, it appears that customer service is a priority with this company (See photo). I really appreciate companies that stand behind their products. The round adjustment knobs on the sides of the mic look and feel more budget friendly. The same goes with the adjustment knobs on the mic. But, they do the job. Overall, it's a good mic. It's not high-end, but it does a good job for a budget USB mic. ... show more

    • Good but frustrating
I see this is now no longer available, don't know why. I took some time evaluating this mike because by default when I tested it with a headset to monitor and compare the sound, it set my computer to the mike's monitor jack. I can't and don't want to use a headset ever in my professional calls (all spoken), so having to re-set my laptop's playback device after monitoring each time is a no-go for me. The sound is pretty good for a reasonably priced mike, but not that significantly better than an Amazon-branded mini mike on a stand which I have been using (spoken sound) and which sounds great.     • ZS does it yet again - awesome sound quality
ZS here has tons of great mics, and this is yet another one. The array of different polar patterns is an absolute icing on the cake of excellent as always sound quality. They didn't have to implement them, but they did. Even super niche polar pattern like figure-8 is present and works flawlessly. Cardioid is what 99.9999% of us will be using and sticking with and it's perfect too. The sound quality is what matters most to me, because all the bells and whistles work perfectly, the build quality is great, blah blah blah, but what about the sound quality.... it's fantastic. Podcast-ready, if that's what you're going for. Can't recommend enough if this is the style of mic you're looking for ... show more

I have owned and used a good few microphones over the years. To that end I can say that this is a great starter microphone for anyone starting to stream or record. I have paid four times as much for similar quality of sound. The overall build quality is a bit lower end and is mostly plastic. This however is part of the low cost of the unit which so far as I can tell allowed them to put more into the quality of the internal components. All the settings tend to work as one would expect. It would have been nice to have some more adjustment for tone but I can't complain for this price. Noise cancellation is about what you would expect on a budget microphone but it has really good control over the gain of the sound so of course this means more noise overall. It is best like with many microphones to use built in software cancellation to remove unneeded sounds. This is perfect overall for a first time microphone and is a great price.
