I was skeptical at first about buying this game as a 'collectors edition' as we had never played it before.. But we've had a great experience with another of their games "Flash Point: Fire Rescue" so I opted to spend some more and get this version.. I'm glad we did. Everything from the Awesome Medical Case the game is packaged in, to the board and game pieces feels top notch. Very attractive presentation to suck you into the experience. My whole family was quickly immersed in the game and even my youngest (7yr old son) who has ADHD was reliably focused on what actions he could take on his next turn to help the group the most and beat back the advancing threats! Very impressive! Having played Flashpoint before the whole character traits and actions system was very easy to pickup and play, including for my kids, but as a newbie I can see how there's quite a few rules/steps to remember (we still sometimes skipped an infection or something, after drawing outbreaks, etc.). Value wise, you're better off with the standard edition.. That's just a given. But if you enjoy the game, or others like it, this is a GREAT presentation that I don't think you'll regret picking up. ... show more

Thank goodness i know how to paint. I can just cover the scratches on the tin case with paint. But overall, IT LOOKS LIKE A COLLECTOR'S EDITION BOARD GAME INDEED. I can't wait for the lockdown in our area to subside so i can play this with friends. For now, I will just marvel just how beautiful this game looks like. ... show more

    • Gorgeous-looking, fun board game! Perfect for a gift!
I have played this with my smart 7 year old and he absolutely loves it! It helps to teach about pandemics and being quarantined, but also working as a team *teamwork* and is a whole lot of fun! The game is is a little complex and does have a learning curve, but once learned it is excellent and well-worth the effort!!! We play a few times a week, make it a pandemic night—just a fun game. The board, world map is beautiful, I love the Petri dishes of the viruses, and the action figure are beautiful. The case is gorgeous as well—made of heavy gauge metal. Ok let me piece ths out. Metal case is nice, insert is good and holds everything nicely, does have room for about two more sets of cards, so kind of some wasted space. The two clasps hold down, you have to be careful. Mini's are alright nothing special, but they are mini's. All the cards are top notch. The infection cubes are a disappointment, small colored wooden cubes, nothing special, the incuded petri dishes are nice, just wish I had a fifth for all the other tokens, considering the space left in the box. The best thing about this product is the board! Very nice 6 section folding board, significantly bigger than the standard board. Nice coating, easy to read and play with.(best part of this set), but does have one connection line missing, but it doesn't affect game play. Overall, not worth the extra money. The game itself is a great coop type game. Very easy to learn and play. The board in very nice,case looks cool, but everything else is standard at best. Save your money and just get a standard box. ... show more

My husband loves the game Pandemic, so I got excited when I found this. It is all in a quality metal case, making it an attractive and nice set. Inside, the pieces are nicer than the usual set, with a high quality board that is thicker and sturdier than the standard set, and with plastic playing pieces that are much more sturdy than the cardboard ones in the usual set. The set also has miniatures of the players that are inked that shows the fine detail. This is a very high-quality set. ... show more

We have played Pandemic for many years, so when the 10th Anniversary edition came out we were very excited. This edition gives the game a more realistic feel making the game more nerve racking keeping you on the edge of your seat! Love this game, love this edition!

Love the game. The new board, player pieces and other items make this game very unique. There was an issue with connection missing but emailed game maker and new connection pieces sent. Basically they are replacement pieces for what the board has on it. Can’t tell something was missing.

Nice multiplayer cooperative game. Pretty, especially in the vintage style box. May not get hard enough with experience. Dunno if there are expansions.
