The charger works fine. My Segway max g2 won’t accept 5 amps and keeps switching on and off. I contacted the seller and they told me that I need a 2 amp charger. This was after the 30 day return window. They sent me the correct charger at no charge and then continued to contact me to make sure that I received the new charger and that it worked. I purchased this charger after my Ninebot Max dropped on its side causing the built in charger not to work for me anymore. It turned out to be a life saver for me because I was originally believing that my scooter would not charge at all after that incident. I had previously ordered another charger prior to this one but issues from it caused me to search for another one. I’m glad that issue happened or I may have never purchased this item. When it arrived I was thinking that I may have gotten the wrong due to it being so light in weight. After unboxing it I headed to my scooter to plug it in but at the same time I was thinking that my scooter wouldn’t charge anymore. I was totally wrong. After I plugged it in, the heat sink fan came on while it was charging. It’s a low sounding fan noise that upon completion from charging it immediately shuts off. What I was most impressed with was how fast it charges. It is slightly bulky in size when you compare it to the charging wire that comes with the Ninebot Max but I throw this charger in my backpack and head out with whenever I ride my scooter. The Segway version is sold out pretty much everywhere. I can't even find it in Australia to order for the U.S. Tired of waiting for more stock, I ordered this. After realizing all the battery protection is in the BMS of the scooter, I was more comfortable with ordering a third party charger. It is pretty noisy, I plan to switch out the fan for a small noctua one once I learn how to safely discharge the capacitor. This is a lot of power, don't use a screwdriver for that. I also plan to add a thin heatsink to the outside with thermal tape just for good measure. The charger performs extremely well, it shuts off when the scooter is done charging and has an LED that turns green when done charging, and red while charging. (but you should still try to unplug as soon as it's done!) It is very lightweight, some people may consider this "cheap" but thicker plastic insulates heat and would make it hotter, with the thin plastic and fan this thing never feels like it's way too hot, it doesn't get uncomfortably warm. The fan is well implemented, it has a passive intake so air flows through the entire brick. I still plan to get the official version if I can ever find it in stock. But I may still use this one for travel if that one is a lot heavier. ... show more

I had to return this as it is simply way to abnormally loud although it does charge my G2 Max scooter faster. I can literally hear it in the next room with the door closed! The Ninebot one I believe is totally silent, but it's difficult to find and is also much more expensive. This one seems cheaply made though and while it's light in weight, it's bulky to take with you. If it wasn't so loud however, I would have kept it. ... show more

Purchased due to the fact that my Inmotion Climber will accept 5A and the charger that came with it only put out 2A. I decided I needed a backup charger due to the fact I need one in two places. This has done great in putting out 4-5A for my scooter. I read a bunch about the amount of noise this thing puts out with the fan always running. It is loud but I don't find that a problem because i don't have to charge right next to where I'm at. If this thing craps out I'll update this post. ... show more

So, this really does charge my max g30p super fast like everything says I was really scared about the 1 star reviews, so scared - very scared.. I risked it, its been amazing 2 - 3 days in, It charges so fast. It does make noise - not super loud but, I mean it makes noise so, Also, if you are scared like me, there is a card included that allows you to get a replacement if it breaks an such, like, they took the problem reviews seriously so, I mean....
