I'm a beginner fisherman, so the following review is my initial impressions out of the box, with no experience using it in actual fishing yet. I will update the review as needed following actual use in the field. OOTB, the item is excellent, with very good quality fit, finish, and functionality. It's very light, and has a couple of nice appointments. The net does not have a ring all the way around, leaving a net-only lip on the top that I imagine will make getting the fish into the net w/o damage easier. The folding and telescoping mechanisms seem sturdy and operate smooth and easy. I especially liked the locking mechanism once the net is unfolded - it looks to me like it won't/can't fold up on you unexpectedly. ... show more

Purchase 3/2021 and used the net many times. Great product for the price and I would recommend it to anyone. I will be purchasing 2 more for my girls. The net folds down and is pretty compact. Extends easily and it pretty sturdy. I wish the net was coated better or made of another material. Only complaint is small hooks get stuck very easily in net. This has nothing to do with the quality just my personal opinion on what I would do to improve it. 5/5 overall for the price paid. ... show more

I mainly catch bluegill & other panfish. I purchased this net, cause you never know when a larger predator fish like bass or chain pickerel will come after your catch. I’ve already used this to land a 2lb largemouth. Quick & easy to unfold/fold & put away in storage bag included.
