Given that wax paper is purposed to food preparation, its storage method is relevant to its application. The papers arrived as depicted - flat and plain. Typically, the packaging of an item is irrelevant, but in this instance, the packaging affected its functionality. I even questioned whether it was indeed 50 sheets. The paper's function is not to absorb grease, but rather to keep water in or out, allowing moist foods to retain their moisture and crisp foods to retain their crispness. I cannot recall a time when it did not perform this function, but the packaging hindered its practicality. I found these to be a little to big and thin to be useful. I feel like they are a little thin to use for wrapping sandwiches, so I use them for covering items in the microwave but they are just a little big for that. I will also use them for placing fresh baked cookies on, but because they are so big, I feel like it would be more convenient to just have a box of wax paper on a roll, it takes up less room. ... show more

I ordered these after running out of my other deli wraps. I like to use them for my boys’ sandwiches as we’re trying to reduce our use of plastic (which was probably negated with all the plastic packing material). These are perfect for regular-sized sandwiches made with bread or bulky rolls. My only gripe is that tape doesn’t stick to them… at all. It stuck fine to my old wraps, so that was definitely a disappointment. I’ve tried various kinds of tape - Scotch, packing, duct, electrical, etc. I’ll see if I can find what they use at the deli (maybe masking tape?). It doesn’t feel like there’s a heavy wax, but just coating one side seems like it would solve the problem. I’m hopeful I’ll find something that works so I can continue using them. ... show more
