Sturdy and easy for my son to open. I appreciate that his food isn’t surrounded by plastic on all sides, and theres less plastic used in this box overall. But it’s a bit heavy and wish it could go in the wash!

I’ve tried Bentgo, planetbox rover. This is the only lunchbox where compartments don’t leak! Great size for young kids (5-8 years old). Highly recommend

Longtime user of Yumboxes here and I love them for my kids. Was hoping to transition to a metal one for environmental reasons but I’ll be returning this one and going back to the original plastic yumbox. It’s sooo much heavier than the original and my 3.5 yr old couldn’t even open this box on her own. It’s wonderfully constructed and feels solid and I imagine it to be very durable but I really don’t like how heavy it is - it would add a lot of weight to a bag. ... show more

    • Nice quality, but too small for older kids
The lunchbox appears to be of very good quality, but the compartments are too small to contain enough food for older kid (10 years old). For example, I can only fit half a sandwich in the biggest compartment. Otherwise, it is very nice, probably better for preschoolers or early elementary age kids.
