Description

Renowned adventurer Adol “the Red” Christin and his companion Dogi arrive at Balduq, a city annexed by the Romun Empire, only for Adol to be detained before setting foot inside. While imprisoned, he meets a mysterious woman named Aprilis who turns him into a Monstrum, a being with supernatural Gifts and the power to exorcise monsters. Now, Adol must ally with his fellow Monstrums to fend off the fearsome threats emerging from a shadowy dimension called the Grimwald Nox, as well as unravel the mysteries of the Monstrum curse, and the truth behind the unrest within Balduq.

this game is perfect to continue Adol’s journey within a confined area with some late game exploration. It’s a bit less than Ys VIII but it was still a memorable experience with similar battle mechanics, dungeon and over-world exploration and a completion log for items, weapons, armors, quests and friendships. ... show more

I buy all Ys game. Spent 80+ hours on this. I didn't rush and enjoyed the game. Highly recommend this RPG to anyone interested in RPGs.

I like how the new Ys games are this big enough to consume all your life playing! Ys VIII was a great game and I loved my time there, now I'm enjoying a lot my time on Ys IX and I can't get enough from all the characters! Do a favor for yourself and play Ys IX!

I love Y's games and bought this at the drop of a hat. This review is not about 'the game', but rather about the way the pact version was portrayed. I was very excited to buy this, because I thought it came with meaningful extra content - such as an art book and music cd. I think I originally saw a PS4 edition picture when I bought the game months back on the pre-order announcement. When I received the game I was disappointed to just see a standard switch game that I paid $60+ dollars for. It does come with a 10 page mini game manual and a downloadable music album. But that is it. When I was a kid, every game came with a game manual and some came with maps and expanded manuals that were almost mini game guides. It blows my mind that now mini crap manuals with 10 pages of picture in it are considered extra special content for a premium price. Physical game collectors should be not be let down or pay premium prices for pamphlets that should be free. Reward your committed collectors. Good examples have included collector versions of Binding of Isaac, Undertale, Witcher 3, and NecroDancer. Learn a lesson and put out a decent physical copy of Y's next time you want to charge premium prices for a game with mediocre graphics and performance. ... show more
