I made a makeshift go kart out of my old pressure washer engine. This sprocket is on the axel and it worked great. I cannot attest to the keyway holding strength, as I just welded mine on because my axel was a post hole digger, but it has functioned great and has no issue. Being able to screw and unscre the sprocket seemed like an extra weak point initially, but being able to move them independently made it much easier to weld into place in a tighter space, so I would highly recommend this over a solid one piece sprocket if you are planning to weld it. I am sure it would still be useful if you need room to get a key in there. I also like that I would not have to cut the full sprocket off if I have to replace it in the future for whatever reason. ... show more

    • Very solid and quality piece, wrong hardware.
Size: 420 sprocket Style: 48T with 8 Hole
The gear and collar are very nice. It is clear they are made out of high quality materials. However a could of pretty small problems I ran into. For starters the hardware that came with the kit was not even CLOSE to fitting. The bolts provided were probably 1/4 or so, I didn't bother to check, but the bolts needed were 3/8. Loose fitting hardware or a kind of "sloppy" fit doesn't do the supplied bolts justice. The thing rattled like crazy when I used the provided hardware for Mach up. Another problem was that the screws used to help lock the collar in place were positioned directly behind the screw holes. This made it near impossible to screw down the collar without making it a drawn out process. Lastly the key cut out was to small, this actually might be on purpose, you have to file the keyway to make it fit, ensuring that its is extremely tight due to the collar being hardened steel. Overall this is a great product, I just ran into some rather inconvenient problems along the way. ... show more

It's okay, but the bolt holes are two different sizes and the included bolts are too small for either sized hole. The mount has 3/8" holes, the sprocket has a smaller metric sized hole, the bolts are smaller yet. I drilled out the sprocket to 3/8" and used 3/8 bolts, which solved the issue.
