Side mounts have no way of not letting the board slide either side and fall. The acrylic is not see through either. The other one I have has stops and came clear. I’d go with something like that instead.

This surfboard wall mount is exactly what I was looking for. The clear acrylic makes it blend right in so all the attention stays on the board, and the quality feels solid and sturdy. The brackets and hardware are well made, and I like that the arms can be adjusted for different board styles. Even though I haven’t hung my board yet, it feels just as durable as other wall-mounted systems I’ve used before, if not better. I have no doubt it will hold my board securely once it’s up. Perfect for showing off a surfboard like the piece of art it is.

The top of Mount is not flush when you don’t have fins in it will lean out from the top. In our staircase it worked out perfect. A flush mount option would give it 5 starts but pretty good and cheap!

The only thing I didn’t like about this item was that there is no stopper on the side holders, so uf the board is bumped it can fall to either side. We also wanted to hang the board at a diagonal but that was t possible also because there was no atopper on the side or bottom holder
