For the price they are nice. I thought they would be a different texture but they work for the summertime. Just enough privacy use them with a sheer white. They changed the look of my living room to more colorful and bright. A tad bit more salmon in color than expected but they still work. Also the texture isn't a box type of linen it's semi sheer but hard to describe the fabric. I ironed and spray starched them although they were almost ok right out of the wrapping. LOVE these curtains. They are just beautiful, and the color is a creamy off-white. They are not sheer or semi-sheer but rather a tad more light filtering. They are lightweight and well-made, and they filter direct sun on west-facing double glass doors perfectly, letting in light but helping to mitigate direct afternoon sun. I hung these over light-filtering shades, which add a near-blackout light-blocking source when I need it. I used long-projection brackets to extend the rod far enough out from the 4” shade valance to let these curtains drop without dragging on the valance. He’s perfectly served the purpose I bought them for. I have 9 foot tall windows but they have really heavy blinds. So to even lift them a third of the way up every day and back down at night was a real chore. So I pulled them up exposing the bottom third and put these curtains in that area. So I never have to pull the blinds up or down. I simply pull back the curtains when I want light and pull them closed when I want privacy. They are not light blocking at all. But you can’t see through them either. You may see silhouettes at night but I really don’t care much about that. But even with the lights on inside you can’t see anything really just like I said, maybe a silhouette. I’m really glad I got them. The color is perfect, the quality is great and even though they arrived all wrapped up I hung them immediately and they have almost no wrinkles. I still need to steam them but they looked great right out of the box! ... show more
