This is advertised as being fairly thick and its not. Mine has been out for a week and has not expanded past about two inches thickness. It also has some odd stitching that was maybe supposed to be taken off? Not really sure.     • Comfortable But Flattening
First, this is a beautifully designed Japanese Futon (Shikibuton). It's soft, comfortable, & well made with reversible sides, one soft, warm, fleece side for the winter & the other more of a dry & a bit rougher feeling (not in a bad way; ordinary) for the summer. I let the futon air out for a day and then I slept amazingly. I've had this futon for a week and a half now & the first couple nights was some of the best sleep I've ever had. Unfortunately, after those days (about a week), I felt like the futon was getting flat. I've rotated it & it's been 3 days & this end feels like it's getting flat too. I felt it from underneath the futon to where I'm sitting at and it feels like it's depth is ~0.5 inches - ~1 inch. Comparing this to the way the product is at 4 inches shows a major difference. It feels like it's flattened which makes it hard & uncomfortable to sit on. I also wished this Japanese Futon came with a set of instructions on how to care for it so that it remains comfortable & does not flatten. ... show more

I love this mat - I had to have something for my grandson to sleep on when he slept over, we were having issues with that and this is perfect. It's the size of a twin bed - so perfect for my 2 year old grandson. Very comfy, came with a removable cover that can be washed. The only thing I can't do is roll it up as small as the box it came in, to store it, but I can live with that. I don't want to crush the padding by rolling it too tight.     • Not comfortable, lumpy & description misleading
This pad is not memory foam as it states. It feels like a cheap lumpy pillow and is not safe for a toddler to sleep on. As another reviewer states, there is no tag with material contents so you have no idea whats in this product. I just returned the mattress and they charged $8 for the return. This product was completely disappointing and I'm not happy I had to pay to return this thing. Edit 2/10/22: The seller is hounding me with emails trying to get me to take down my negative review and promising a gift card. I stand behind my reviews that I write on Amazon and still believe this is a terrible mattress. ... show more

Disliked the thickness. It was advertised as 10” thick. It is maybe 3” thick after sitting out for several days. Not comfortable at all. Dissatisfied with the product.

    • UPDATE!!! Super comfortable with being too bulky
UPDATE 4/5/21 - there are spots on the mattress where the fabric has thinned out and is starting to tear. This is only used for laying down to read stories or sitting on to play dolls. I’m hoping I can somehow mend the holes. My 6 year old daughter wanted a loft bed so badly!!! Well, she still wants to cuddle with her mom yay night, especially when reading books. I was not happy laying on the floor and putting a sleeping bag on the floor wasn’t enough. I absolutely love this roll up mattress. It’s comfortable enough that I sometimes fall asleep when putting my daughter to bed. We keep it out all the time. She sits on it when she plays. It’s super comfortable and it comes with a matching sheet. This will be perfect for sleepovers in the future. ... show more
