I specifically picked this mat because it said it was extra thick (10") in the description at the top of the listing, as shown in the photo. Further down the page it says 10 cm (about 4 inches) thick. I did not catch that because I expected the listing information to be correct. It is a good mat for what it is. Just make sure you read all the details before ordering to make sure you're getting what you want. This was an expensive item to not get what I had expected because of a seller typo.

I live in a very small apartment and have limited room for sleeping arrangements, I am big into minimalism and wanted to try floor sleeping. This is a decent shiki button, I ordered black in twin and put a twin fitted sheet on it. You have to fold it up during the day to prevent mold, and be sure to fluff it up. I slept pretty decently on it, I definitely need to adjust. No pain on my back. Overall I am satisfied, and plan to eventually use this in my truck to sleep in on road trips. My only complaint is a slight chemical smell, it's not overbearing thankfully. I'm hoping it fades away.

I was a little skeptical when we received this because it was much thinner than I thought it would be, so it didn't provide much cushion on a hard floor/ground. But I was so wrong. The cushion was perfect. Like sleeping on a firm mattress. My husband and I said to each other many times how great it was to sleep on. We took it camping in the Adirondacks for a week, no back pains or anything. We're excited to use it again!! Highly recommend! Cons: the bag they give they give you to store it in is basically made out of paper and on of the straps to carry it ripped open a hole on it the first time we put it in the bag. I recommend keeping the original bag it came in. Seems stronger. Also, the zipper to the sheet it comes with fell off before we even used it. So that's annoying. However, it didn't matter because the sheet goes around the whole mattress and only opens at the end, so there were no issues with it staying on. Probably don't even need the zipper.
