This heating nail bowl comes with a couple of nail files and a buffer, cuticle oil, nail brush, cuticle scraper, a cuticle pusher and a peeler. The little device reminds me of a wax melter for eyebrow waxing. It's a metal lined electric bowl with a plastic mold for the fingertips of one hand to rest in. I don't use acrylics all the time, sometimes I just want to do a manicure. I found this to be nice for soaking my cuticles. It comes with all the things to do a great cuticle treatment on my hands. I'm not fond of the control on the front of this. There's no actual button. It's just a power icon that you touch for 3 seconds to turn on then short press to change the temp of the heating from low, medium and high. I set mine to high and it took about 3-5 minutes and let out a loud beep when ready. It doesn't get really warm. On high the temp is about the temp you would bathe a newborn baby in. I do wish it heated more, but it's enough to soak my nails for whatever reason. It's cool for someone who does manicures or artificial nails.

I do my own nails now, but I do incorporate a lot of what I learned during my over 2 decades of going into the nail salon every two weeks: to save your natural nails, it is best to soak them off in warm acetone as opposed to trying to scratch or pry them off. Yes, it takes more time than ripping them off, but your nails will thank you later. This heated soaking bowl is perfect for not just at home DIYers, but nails salons should take heed also (my technician was still using the bowl inside a bowl method lol). I love the construction of this soaking bowl set. It far exceeds the cheap plastic bowl set I had before this that I had to add warm water to the base myself. If I was doing someone else’s nails, I would have two bowls so that I could soak both hands at once. I only do one hand at a time on myself because I do use my drill to file away the top layers to help speed it along. I also love that it comes with so many goodies—everything from files, to buffers, to cuticle oil. Every DIYer needs a heated soaking bowl. Trust me on this one.

The media could not be loaded. The soaking bowl is interesting. The idea is that you can put polish remover in the tray and just soak your fingertips in it. The machine warms the liquid to help the reaction be more effective. The things I liked: It was comfortable to rest my hand in, either right or left. It warmed in a decent amount of time but not super quickly. It was well explained in the instructions. It is also easy to clean as the insert where the remover sits is easily taken out. However, it doesn't really seem to be needed. I find just setting damp cotton pads on my nails accomplishes the same thing without putting my skin directly into the polish remover. I think I will repurpose it into a wax warmer as the temps seem to be similar. It could easily melt paraffin wax and be used to coat your hands and fingers pretty easily without needing to heat up a ton of wax. I did not dock a lot of stars because it does do what it says it will - but it doesn't hold to its promise of cutting soak off time by 50%. I will add that the tools that come with the kit are very nice although the super soft buffer wore out pretty quickly when I used it. It’s the pink one in the pictures.
