This polish is BEAUTIFUL! What a fun touch it adds! I love that the actual color is swatched for us in the lid. I used a solid black gel, cured, then a single coat of cat eye polish and immediately used a magnet to give a crescent moon shape at the edge of the swatch dot. Photos are not doing it any justice. It is a genuine cat eye look when I turn it in the light. Smooth texture, but make sure you shake the bottle before using it because magnetic flakes can and will settle in the bottle! This is gorgeous and you can use it as a topper over any color!

So what most people may not have known is that this polish needs 2 layers, the base layer that you apply and cure with UV light, then you apply the second layer, use the magnet to create the design you want and then cure that. If you don't use UV light, it won't cure, another tip is that you need to shake this really well before applying, otherwise the metal mix-ins won't be well incorporated into the gel. I also suggest that you apply as light a layer as you can for the base, otherwise, it may contrast with the design effect you are trying for. I wish this came in a bigger bottle as you WILL waste a good portion trying to figure this out and get used to it, but once you do, it works really well. You can also mix and match different colors as the base and top coat to get really unique color designs and patterns that you can't get anywhere else!

I tested this out as soon as it came in because I love a type like this I bought years ago but the magnets in the top and only makes a wavy line this is different and cool On one finger I did 1 coat and cured it and the cat eye effect was very light. On the next couple fingers I applied 2 coats (did notice it thick at this point but was ok with that. Fyi) and the cat eye effect was great but I wanted to see if 3 coats would look too much and not at all! I love a drastic look and nailed it with 3! I had no issues with the magnet it came with. Which I was worried about and I was able to accomplish the look I wanted definitely recommend!

This did not turn out like the photos for me! Its not very easy to use and the magnet didn't have the effect I was hoping for, kind just made the sparkles disappear! Maybe I don't understand how it works very well--either way not really a beginner friendly design.
