I’ve had this for almost a year now and I recently bought another to add more storage to the old one. It’s pretty sturdy! As you can see my pots and pans and other kitchen items all fit and it’s never lost it’s balance of collapsed! The instructions were confusing to me so I just looked it up on YouTube or else it would have gotten 5 stars for assembly. The rest of the shelves didn’t fit so I pictured the extras. When I move to a house I’ll have more room for those. It’s been so handy and helpful that I’ve bought it twice, so I hope that helps! ... show more

Directions aren’t perfectly clear. Pay attention when assembling this product. It’s really a royal pain in the Yuno what. But it was exactly what I needed and I power through and got it done and figured it out. The couple things that go on the polls have a top and a bottom. Be sure you pay attention, and the shelves must be upside down. You cannot have a lip Hass to be the other way. ... show more

    • Different from other metal shelving
I have several metal shelving units and they are all the same as far as assembly goes. This one is different. First, the poles are very thin, and the shelves are also much thinner than the other shelves I have. Second, the poles do not screw together. Instead, one section just slips into another section, with nothing except gravity to keep it there. Third, when I tried to install the shelves the same way I have done on the other shelving units, the clips that go on the poles kept flying off. I then noticed that the shelves were made to go on with the rim around the edges on the top of the shelf, not underneath as all my other units do. This rim makes it impossible to place something slightly larger than the shelf on it and also makes it more difficult to put items on and to remove them from the shelves. Also, due to the way the poles just slip together, I am afraid to put too much weight on this shelf. I am disappointed in this shelving. I kept it and will use it cautiously. I love this shelf but I thought it would be bigger. I see that they sell larger ones with wider shelves so I will probably order more soon. Very sturdy and the shelves are built well. Also pretty easy to put together
