I learned about this sound machine with the built-in fan at a baby store and immediately knew I needed one for myself. I highly recommend this model to anyone who prefers the sound of a real fan but doesn't want to run a fan or doesn't have one with a satisfying pitch and volume, or folks who can't stand the artificial, tinny, or obvious looping of digital white noise equivalents. I use it all night to help block out my snoring partner and cats, and now many hours of the day as well that we have a baby sleeping in our room. While it may not have quite as many extra features as some of the brand's other models, the natural fan sound is best for me and I greatly appreciate the customizability of the pitch and volume. For me, it is absolutely worth the price and helps improve this very light sleeper's sleep. The night light is very useful too, especially now with a newborn in the room with us. I have a couple "wishes" for this item -- that there were smaller steps between volume levels and that the buttons on top had some kind of tactile indication so you could identify them more easily in the dark -- but aside from that I am very satisfied with this machine and will happily purchase one again if needed in the future.

The sound has a calming effect and has helped with sleeping through the night. It’s easy to adjust to a comfort level. I also bought a digital sound machine with a variety of sounds but prefer the consistency of sound of this analogue machine. I kept this one and returned the digital.

I purchased this a little less than a year ago and it has been such a helpful tool for me with sleeping better at night. It has a few options which I love, and you can easily adjust the volume and the intensity of the sound. It’s very calming and peaceful. I would recommend this. I know it’s not cheap, but I haven’t had any problems with it and it’s held up well.

This was recommended to me by a sleep specialist. I set it for 8 hours and it stops automatically. At first I had it near the nightstand and then moved it to the corner of the bedroom. The volume is easy to adjust too. It's simple, no fuss!

I bought two of these. One for each of my kids. I have them each sitting on their night stands next to their beds. They both worked great for the first few months. Then the fans on both of them start to make kind of a grinding noise that is not pleasant. I contacted the company directly, and they were great about replacing both of them at no cost to me. The replacements both worked great for a couple of months, but now they are both beginning to make the grinding noise again. I have since decided to start looking for an alternative white noise machine that I do not have to worry about replacing every six months. I did love them for both of my kids while they worked, but unfortunately something must wear out fairly quickly to cause the noise in all four machines.

This is good quality. It is the original fan model, not the electronic noise machines with recorded audio. I tried one of those and the recording loop was so annoying. I also tried the other basic model from this brand with one setting and it didn’t really get loud enough, but this one has multiple volume settings and can really block out noise. The only downside is I think it’s overpriced. With that said I’m keeping it because there were oddly not very many other fan models on Amazon from other companies.
