This is a very inexpensive rake. It is literally listed for half the price of most others. Becauseof that, I am giving 4 stars. In reality, it makes a lot of compromises. The handle comes as multiple separate pipes. They screw together easily, and fit in a smaller box, so I understand why they made it this way. Unfortunately, it unscrews just as easily when in use. It does not unscrew enough to fall apart, but the rake head will swivel if you aren't on level ground. The nice part about the segments is that you can change the length, and each segment has a grip on it. Unfortunately, if you want the full length pole, the primary handle is the worst one. After 10 minutes of use, it started spinning and sliding off the end. The rake head is heavy duty. The Allen wrench to attach it is included, but it hits the angle brace on every turn. Annoying, but avoidable with better technique. It rakes stones pretty easily (though 2 inch rocks get stuck between the teeth really easily). I also used it to rake some leaves (pulling them up from a crawl space opening). It made quick work of that task. Overall, it is a great deal, and seems to be strong. But it is not designed for full time work.

I love the handle it's not a little slim stick it's big and light and strong and you can shorten the handle easy so it's shorter and easier for smaller people to use easy nothing more stressful then tools that are to big I would definitely buy again but I don't think I will need to this one should last forever

rake itself is super sturdy works great for most tasks. the threaded lenths of the handle are nice if you want the adjustability of certain length but the metal is thin and the handle end spins under little pressure. so the grip could be attached better and the handle may not hold up under breaking loose especially hard ground, so it's a good value for the price

My husband has been looking for a good thatching rake for some time and we happened to come across this one. For the price point it is a no brainer and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. He was easily able to get into the grass to remove the old thatching and create nice tidy piles to then mow over after. The adjustable design is really nice, and the weight seems good as well. It will be interesting to see how many seasons it will last us, but it seems to be of good enough quality to at least last a while. I would recommend for sure, especially given the cost.

The head is VERY nice, thick, heavy. The handle....well....it has a handle. It comes in several sections and is about the thinnest metal you can form into a tube. I am fairly sure the weight of the head is going to be more than enough to bend it. The sections DO tighten right down snugly, and after a few uses now it hasn't broken....but I have bent it. The only saving grace on this review is the head. It really is a beast. Thankfully, I can just unbolt the chineesium handle and put a real handle in it when it inevitably breaks.

For leaves and small gardens this rake works great. Easy to assemble and pretty sturdy. It’s not too heavy and it can pull up grass and weeds if you need it to. For the money it’s just right for a small gardens. Great option for light yard work.

The rake comes unassembled with the handle in several pieces. It is very easy to assemble but the metal is very thin and light. I honestly thought this was going to be a big issue, it just doesn’t feel that sturdy. Fortunately after 3 weeks or so of consistent use I can say my concerns about durability have subsided. This is a very light and fairly sturdy rake. If you have extraordinarily hard soil and are planning on giving a rake an epic workout maybe get one with a solid handle. But I think most people will appreciate the combination of extreme light weight and solid durability this rake offers.

This rake replaces one that I had for 40+ years... it would have lasted another 40 years had I been more diligent about putting it away after use so the wooden handle weathered and eventual needed replacing. This new rake was a more cost effective replacement alternative. The multi-section handle assembled easily and each section screwed together securely. The rake head attaches via two spring-loaded retention assemblies which I view as the weak link in this rake. I have had similar tools with this type of retention assembly and they ultimately rust and deteriorate rendering the tool unusable. I also have some concern about the durability of the handle as it is hollow tubing that has some flex to it and may not be durable enough for long term heavy use but should be adequate for everyday homeowner year work. I used it to level out some top soil and it handled the task easily and without any issues. I especially like that I can shrink down the length of the handle by simply removing sections to get the handle length needed for the task at hand. Overall, this rake should serve my needs for years to come. I do give it my seal of approval but knocked off one rating star for the perceived weak connection assembly that attaches the rake head to the handle.
