If a black turtleneck is "hip," then this black turtleneck is the hippest. This is a winter statement piece and a classic that you will be able to wear for years. The fabric is soft and substantial, the construction is beautifully done, and the shape is pleasingly different from the standard black turtleneck sweater, as well. I wear a size 16 and carry the extra weight in my mid-section---this fits me without being tight. The sleeves are long-ish, and that's not a bad thing IMO. I love to push up my long sleeves on sweaters a little to show my bracelets, etc. PS I just ordered it again in WHITE and RED!

The sweater is reasonably soft and washes well in the machine - cold and then I lay it flat for most of the drying, then finished it off in the dryer for the final dry. It feels really heavy to wear, though, like a weight. I imagine wearing this on super cold days when I will be outside, but too heavy for everyday winter wear in the office or house.

I purchased two of these, and will probably buy more. For some reason, the pink one got a little itchy around my neck. The black one is so cozy. The weight of these sweaters is phenomenal and they look rich!

I really do like the sweater. Do not size down. It is really true to fit. The only complaint I have is it came in a clear plastic bag, where all of my neighbors (and potential thieves do to my locale) would have easily been able to snatch this. This has happened in the past. Fun sweater, great fit, the turtleneck is not baggy or too low or small.
