Pros: Machine comes fully assembled, looks and feels sturdy and snazzy, and they built in a bunch of great little helpful features like lines to indicate where to fill the water up to both in the drum and on the lid (which you can use to transport water if away from the faucet). No electricity needed! Less water! Less soap! No trips to the laundromat, nor complicated home installations! Less waiting around to accumulate enough dirty clothes for a full load. Shorter wash time (about 15 minutes, though you are hands-on that entire time). Cons: Doesn't fit bigger items like blankets (and the instructions say not to wash sheets or towels in it, but I think one at a time it will be fine). Have to line dry clothes or get them to a drying machine -- the dry cycle is basically the same as a spin cycle of a washing machine (clothes still wet by the end, just not sopping). The price tag is pretty steep, though less expensive than a regular electric washing machine and you save money over time on water/electricity/trips to the laundromat. Alternatively, you could always just hand wash things in a sink or tub, though I like to think this machine does a more thorough cleaning job and keeps your hands from getting irritated by chemicals/dirty. If you're looking for something less costly with similar benefits, the Lavario is cheaper and well-recommended by my mom and Burning Man enthusiast friends; there are also mini electric washing machines and hand-crank ones for sale on Amazon; all alternatives appeared to be made of plastic, though. As an environmentalist who ascribes to "buy once" (buy quality) philosophy, I am very, very pleased with my choice among these options! Great primary washing machine for me alone in my small apartment, especially during a pandemic; have used a half-a-dozen times so far and a really big fan! It's actually kind of fun to wash clothes with a foot pedal, and you can always watch tv or listen to the radio while you do it :) Comes with a couple backup springs, an extender drainage hose that you can open to make longer (like a bendy straw) but still isn't that long, and excellent user manual (with helpful pictures and time tables). Shipping was fast and right to my door! The company Yirego had a bunch of Better Business Bureau complaints about not shipping to original Indegogo campaign fundraisers, which looks like a years-old issue that they provided refunds for and no longer applies because the product is off the ground now, but I still decided to order through Amazon instead of the Yirego company directly for buyer protection peace of mind (same price). ... show more

The customer service for Yirego is HORRIBLE! If anything breaks on it good luck getting any help. The springs are not very strong and break VERY easily. If you try to find a replacement there really is nothing in hardware stores that is the same size. I tried numerous times to contact the company to get more springs to no avail. It could be a super cool product but it falls very short of expectations. ... show more

    • Total Waste of Money
I was fooled by all the good reviews or promotion videos. I bought one for myself and my sister bought one for herself as well. I used it to wash gym clothes only, one t-shirt and one short each time. Use it once per week. The first 2 months was ok. Then, the pedal got stuck and the drum won't turn. It turns out that the springs broke. Followed their website video to replace the springs. It works again with squeaky noises. 2 weeks later, the axel wheels no longer turns. The axel wheels does not catch each other. If I try to step on the pedal when the machine is completely empty, then with every 3-5 pedal press the axel wheels would catch and spin the drum. Ridiculous. Now it 's just sitting in my garage filling space. My sister's drumi axel and drainage pipe broke after one month. She threw hers away. It's suppose to save money on water and detergent as well as environmental friendly. Costing over $350 for 12 loads of laundry with only 2 article of clothes each time. It's more expensive than traditional machine or going to a laundromat for a full load. Biggest purchase regret I have for 2020. ... show more

    • Works great for cloth diapers... for a while
Love this little portable washing machine. It's easy to use (my 5 year old helped me out). Comes fully assembled with extra springs. UPDATE: Well after using this for almost 3 months (started Nov 2020 and it's Jan 26th now)... it's not working like it did in the beginning. I can tell it's something with the spring. Drum doesn't turn sometimes after pressing the pedal. I used it 3 times a week with no more than 3 cloth diapers at a time. Going to attempt to change the spring and hopefully it'll be good as new. ... show more

    • Poor quality and customer service
Poor quality and poor customer service. I only had this thing for 4 moths and the drum is already slipping. Trying fo contact the seller, but I never got a response. Overall design is great, but just poor quality.

great little washer! could be bigger for larger capacity such as towels or sheets or multiple pairs of jeans etc. but works great and very nicely designed too

    • Nice idea, terrible quality and even worse customer service
I am very disappointed in this product and the company. For $369, this product should have lasted longer than a month. I was careful about not overloading the machine according to the instructions, but had the same issue with the springs as other reviewers. They are made of cheap plastic and the machine begins slipping after only a few uses. It's worthless. I reached out to the company and the asked me to send a video of what was happening so that they could send me a replacement part, but they quit responding to me after I sent the video. I have reached out weekly to no avail. They have the worst customer service. Please save your money and find a better alternative. ... show more
