There is a reason this is the best ice chest that I think you can purchase. We packed it with food and ice for a 10 hour road trip the night before we left. The ice was still good over 24 hours later. We left one bag of ice in the bag and then dumped more on top. I think one thing that helps is our food was cold when we put it in. Heavy but rolls like a dream. I live at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and use it to transport groceries from Flagstaff. I shop the night before, and leave everything in the yeti overnight at the hotel, and then at the helicopter landing spot. Sometimes it takes 12+ hours of sitting up there before it’s flown down. Each time everything is still cold (or frozen) and it has held up beautifully even after being delivered by helicopter with hard landings. This cooler kept everything COLD. I bought it for a 3600 mile road trip rip to Canada and it did not disappoint. Only wish it was lighter but the wheels and handle are top notch. Love my Roadie!!! Color is great and perfect size. Just took it on my first roadtrip and items stayed cold all weekend. I live in Vegas so this will be a staple in my trunk probably even for trips to the grocery store this summer. Love the dry food tray as well.

    • Perfect for what I needed
My refrigerator/freezer went out and I was desperate to save the $30 of food that I had in there. So I purchased this expensive cooler. (I was going to buy the cooler anyway, but moved up the purchase date when the refrigerator quit.) This cooler is great and kept the ice from melting for several days. I know external temperature greatly affects the length of time ice can be kept in a cooler. I kept the cooler on the screened/glassed in porch which maintained a temperature of about 75 degrees. The ice lasted about a week actually. I love the lavender color, the easy of moving this beast of a cooler, and the fact it can be an impromptu seat. The lid latches shut keep the cold inside where it belongs. The bonus tray included is appreciated but wasn't useful at the time of purchase. This is the best cooler we have ever owned. Got it on sale and was worth the money. My son plays baseball and we spend all day out in the heat. This kept ice hours longer than our older igloo cooler. The bins up top are great to put food in. The food stays cool but does not sit in the ice. This is nice as it starts to melt because the food doesn’t get wet. I use leak proof containers for food but they would always take on some water. Yuck. So great for food and beverages. ... show more
