First off, I loved this water bottle when I first got it. Great capacity, keeps water cold all day, just feels like a nice product. The reason I'm giving it two stars is because I've taken very good care of it and after 6 months of use, it's rusting from the inside, and Yeti's warranty won't cover "breakdown of materials over time". Not something I expect to see from a $40 bottle. I'll be switching to a different brand for my next bottle, I suggest you do the same if you want something that lasts.

I heard how other reviewers said they didn't get the real deal and it was a fake. I think that is the case for my purchase, too. It doesn't keep anything cold for as long as it's supposed to. Ice melts in it within 4 hours. Having learned my lesson, I went to REI to purchase a real Yeti. To compare, the REI Yeti keeps ice over night and the water is still nice and cold. Lesson learned, won't buy a Yeti from Amazon.

Some people report getting a fake YETI. Check the seller. This seems to be related to the color. YETI only sells 6 colors. There are 9 colors available on Amazon. The other 3 colors are sold by someone other than "YETI Authorized". Those could very well be fake. SIZE - I'm a woman with small hands. I wear a Small in gender-neutral gloves. This cup has a nearly 11-inch circumference. My hand reaches about halfway around it, making it uncomfortable to hold while drinking. I'll be downsizing to the 18-ounce bottle and giving this one to a family member. I ordered the brick red color and it's great. I was looking for something to take on vacation to keep frozen drinks cold on the beach. I tested a Tervis first and small ice cubes in the cup did not remain for more than an hour in a 73-degree office. The YETI had ice at the end of a 9-hour day in the same environment. I even placed it next to a cup warmer for a few hours. Anecdotally, I first saw a YETI cup at a family reunion. A cousin got a slushie on the way to the reunion. It was 95 degrees in July. After a few hours, she got her YETI cup out of the hot car and the slushie was THICKER than when she got it. That's what made me think of the YETI when I was looking for a beach cup for frozen drinks.

You may read this review and think how the heck can you give a Yeti water bottle two stars... well here is why. I've had a hydroflask for 3 years, only reason I gave it up was because I lost it. Sooo I tried this one. Bad move. First of all, putting the lid on this bottle takes a lot more turns than my previous bottle. Sometimes as I'm screwing the lid on I think "is this thing on yet". Previous bottle was easier to screw the cap on. Second, if you have a full water bottle and you take the lid off - the water sticks to the cap and goes everywhere. Third, the cap is not attached to the bottle so it can be separated/lost easily in my opinion. A little rubber hook/loop to connect to the bottle would have been nice. Especially for $40. Now; the one thing this bottle does better than my previous - is keep temperature. This part they nailed. The second thing I love about this bottle is the "over the nose" design. This is the only reason I didn't return it. The fact that I can drink out of it without my nose hitting the other side of the bottle is key. Great design! Such a close model to the best water bottle. Almost there. If you can put aside the slight spilling, long screws to attach the lid, this is the bottle for you...

So first how long stay cold test is ok. 4 ice cubes in 10oz cold water, 8 hours later no ice but still cold. Comparing to HiWill (24oz) which did the same test and still had 4 ice cubes 48 hour later. Won’t fit in cup holder the stock pictures are Deceiving. Have the magnetic cap coming, real only reason trying a double in cost vs HiWill. Will update if I loose cold time with the accessory top. Update: overpriced garbage, don’t hold ice for 8 hours. Seeing moisture in my second pic, tells me poor insulation. Without gunkote to seal this would suck more. The name is like buying a apple, overprice with better options at a cheaper price.

I love the vessel and color, but the black screw lid squeaks! I decided on a YETI because it is stainless steel. After my cancer I am removing almost all plastic from my life. I purchased the white because others at work have the stainless color and they are always mixed up! It is truly 'over the nose' which I love because I use this as my water bottle. Filtered water out of the fridge stays cool from 6:30 am to noon. However, I cannot give it 5 stars because the black screw on lid squeaks loudly, like it is rubbing, when I put the top on/off.

I'm personally a fan of Yeti products. They are well made and really do keep my ice/drinks cold even on the hottest days in the sunshine on the beach. I love the 26oz. It's great to take along in the car and I don't have to worry about liquid spilling all over the place. And I LOVE the black! I was lucky enough to purchase during a sale, so the price point was great too.
