I knew this was a quality product because, of course, it's a Yeti, and all of their products are stellar! I have 2 of their coolers and we take them to the beach every year and our drinks are always cold even after hours in the sun. I also have Yeti wine cups that keep my wine perfectly chilled when sitting by the pool. But this review is about this travel mug. I have a 45 minute commute and I wanted a travel mug that would keep my coffee hot until I get to work and this one does. Also, I accidentally knocked this mug off of a table about 3 feet high and it landed on a laminate floor. The only thing that happened was the magnetic lid cover popped off and only a minimal amount of coffee spilled out and there wasn't a dent anywhwere on the cup! I was amazed that even a Yeti didn't sustain damage after a hard fall! I would most definitely purchase this item again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a travel cup that will keep their coffee hot and if you knock it off a table it most likely will not sustain any damage. I haven't used it for anything cold but have no doubt it would work equally well for cold drinks. Another point to note, the lid is a new design and it is 100% leakproof as evidenced when I knocked it off the table and it did not budge. But because of this design the lid is also a bit hard to get off at the end of the day, like a jar lid. So I use a silicone jar lid gripper to take it off. Also, be careful after cleaning when putting the plastic piece back on the lid that the magnet sits in because if you put it on upside down it takes pliers to get it back off. It is a 2 pc seal, one is the slide magnet, the other pc is a plastic screw-in part that the magnet sits in. That's the pc I put in upside down. You can guess how I figured this out... it was not a pleasant experience thinking I had permanently ruined my new mug's lid! But even after using pliers to remove the twist off plastic part of the 2 pc seal it is undamaged and still working perfectly! That's how well made this is! I have zero complaints because, again, I wanted a leak-proof, well insulated travel mug and this one is really kind of perfect! Buy this! You won't regret it! 5 stars! *****

I use this every day for work. I bring coffee usually, but sometimes tea. Either way, it keeps my drink hot from 5 AM when I fill the mug until 10:30 or 11:00, when it's still warm and drinkable. The mug itself has no trouble fitting in the cup holder on a 2017 Honda CR-V. It also fits, but not quite as nicely in the cup holder on a 2019 Subaru Forester. Mind, I mean the center console cup holders. This will not fit in the door cup holders. It also fits in the fold down arm rest cupholder on the 2017 Honda CR-V. I haven't tried it on the Forester yet. The green is really, really nice. It's a great forest green and reminds me of the green used to paint Army vehicles. Green is one of my favorite colors, so maybe I'm biased, but it's really well done. I haven't dropped it or anything, but there hasn't been any chipping or damage as a result of normal hand washing after months of use. I feel like this is one of those mugs that I could use until I lose it, or until Yeti stops making replacement gaskets for the plastic lid. Pro tip: before you remove the gasket on the lid to wash it for the first time, make sure you look to see how it's positioned so that you don't have any issues putting it back on. It's not designed in a way that it's intuitive to put it back and if you don't place the gasket back on there the right way, it's going to leak. As long as you have the seal on correctly and the magnet locking thing on top is closed, it's not going to leak. Often, my hands will be full and I'll have the mug hanging almost parallel to the floor from two fingers as I walk to my car. The only time I had an issue was when I first removed and washed the rubber seal and put it back on the wrong way. This is a purchase that you won't regret and I'll definitely be buying more Yeti mugs in the future, as additions, not replacements.

This Yeti Rambler has exceeded my expectations. I bought it for water rather than using plastic water bottles. It’s great for everyday use and for traveling. It fits nicely in my car’s mug holder and keeps my water cold wherever I am, regardless of the temperature. 100 degree days running around town in my car-my water remains cold! Yeti products are worth the $. If you’d like to keep your coffee hot or water/drink cold, this is the travel mug to buy!
