I didn't want to like this mug, as I questioned whether the brand was really worth the cost compared to other brands. However, my mother received one from her coworker as a gift, and raved about it. I own many different thermal beverage containers, so I was in no rush to add another to my already full cabinet. However, during Prime days, I bit the bullet and ordered one because the price was reasonable. I guess I have to eat crow and concede that they really do make a high quality product. The magnetic slide lid alone is a game changer. It is easy to remove for cleaning, and just as easy to install. Literally just tilt it and catch a fingernail under the edge and pull up. It releases from the magnetic bottom section and lifts right off. The bottom piece can then slide to align with the cutout, then you rotate it 90° and it also pops right off. Once you've cleaned and dried everything, you just align the bottom piece, rotate to lock in, then gently place the top section onto the lid above the bottom slide. The magnets pull it into place and secure it. Couldn't be easier. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of piping hot beverages, so I actually don't want my coffee to stay really hot. Usually I'll put ice into my cup before adding coffee, so the temp is tolerable for me. So, sadly, I cannot offer much help evaluating the insulating ability of this vessel. I will confirm that my beverage maintains the starting temp for a significant time. As the volume is reduced, the temp drops faster, as you'd expect from any container. I also love the vibrant color (Big Wave Blue) and texture of the outer finish. The coating feels quite durable, though only time and use will confirm that impression. Overall, I'm thrilled with the mug, which I begrudgingly confirm makes is worthy of the higher cost, compared to similar products. I don't know if I can support the full retail "price", but the deal I found was certainly palatable.

The 20oz Yeti Travel Mug with the built-in handle is my personal favorite Yeti style. Our family has used Yeti products for years, and while we have several favorites, this one is the one I like most for trips, vacations, and keeping water with me. The 20oz size is big enough to be useful without feeling too clunky, and the handle makes it much easier to carry. What I like: • Built-in handle is extremely convenient • Great size for travel, vacation, errands, or everyday use • Keeps drinks cold very well • Feels heavy duty and durable • Seafoam is a beautiful color • The threaded lid feels secure • I have not noticed leaking with this style • Big enough to be practical without being too bulky Things to be aware of: • This style has threads at the top and uses its own lid • I personally prefer the threadless style because it works with standard Rambler MagSlider lids • If you already have a lot of standard Yeti lids, this one may not be as interchangeable • Like other Yeti mugs, it has some weight to it • Hot drinks can leave more wear or staining inside over time than cold drinks Overall: This is still my favorite Yeti style because of the built-in handle, secure lid, and practical 20oz size. I especially like it for travel and keeping cold drinks with me, even though I do slightly prefer the lid style on the threadless version.

I've had this rambler for two weeks now and it's perfect as my new coffee mug. It keeps my coffee warm for hours which I like since I'm a slow coffee sipper. I'll brew my coffee at 0530 and it'll still be very warm until around 1100 when I finally gulp down the last of my coffee. What I'm impressed with is the quality and build of the mug which you should come to expect with Yeti products. The quality justifies the price point. One morning, I set my mug on the top of my car to retrieve my lunch bag when it slipped and fell to the ground. I was initially mad at first thinking I damaged my new mug, but once I checked it out, I was pleased to see it was not damaged. The MagSlider had popped off upon impact and spilt coffee; however, there was no damage to the mug--no scratches, no dents. There was a very minute chip to the lid, but it's barely noticeable at all. I'm impressed by its durability. 10/10 would recommend.

I like the overall quality of the mug. Paint doesn’t chip and lid is very leak resistant. The lid is frustrating for other reasons, however. Removing it with a twist is very hard to do. You cant push down at all or it digs in harder. No one with a weak grip/ hand problems can do it alone. I am dealing with it but resent it. The lid also completely removes your sense of smell from the coffee drinking experience. It feels more like taking a pill than enjoying the smell of your morning coffee. I would just remove the lid to take a sip, but it is a whole ordeal as I mentioned, and I cant risk spills while driving and working. My prior mug had an additional vent that was for flow control, and I could smell the coffee that way. It just had a terrible paint job and became unsightly for work. Had to replace. This one keeps liquids undrinkably hot for a very long time. I brew into it and have to leave it uncovered for 30 min before closing to take with me. It remains too hot to drink during my commute. For some, a longer time hot may be better, but I’d rather have it ready earlier in the morning. If you just need a caffeine conduit, this is great. It’s durable and dishwasher safe. Maintains heat. I would rather get something I can enjoy my coffee in that is not ballistic grade. 4 stars: for quality with downsides that only may bother some. Please let me know if my review was helpful. These are great! I'll admit that Yeti is a "premium" (more pricey) brand, but I've had several insulated cups. It will keep the coffee hot for quite a bit and warm for a couple of hours. I like that Yeti has changed the slider to include a catch to reduce unintentional openings. Worth the premium cost.

YETI Rambler 20 oz. Travel Mug I would highly recommend this for both hot and cold beverages. It fits firmly in the console of both my car and my truck, and as you expect from a YETI, it keeps your drink at temp. for a very long time. If I were to point out anything odd about this mug it would be the lid. YETI seems to have departed from familiar magnetic closure to one that is significantly different - in many ways I think it is much more secure. But until you take the time to figure out how it works, it can be a bit baffling, and it literally must be dissembled to wash it, but fear not, it’s not that hard to figure out. I hope this review helps you.
