Description

YETI Rambler 14 oz Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Mug with LidMany camping mugs don’t stand a chance in the wild. But when you’re bleary-eyed, drinking coffee around a campfire in the backcountry, creature comforts like a hot mug of joe give you enough fuel to push on. So we decided to make a mug of our own that could withstand our off-the-grid adventures. The Rambler 14 oz. Mug is made of 18/8 stainless steel, so it’s durable enough to strap to the outside of your pack and go. Its full-loop TripleGrip Handle is comfortable for wider hands and easy to grab. It’ll keep your coffee hot (or water cold) for hours on end and still has the same Rambler features, like No Sweat Design and double-wall vacuum insulation, that makes this drinkware built for the wild.

  • Great Mug
Color: Seafoam Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Mind boggled there are negative reviews on this mug. I’ve had the sea foam color for over 2 years and it’s in great shape with almost daily use. I’ve always run it through the dishwasher to clean out of laziness. No chipping. Love it and wish they were less expensive now so I could buy more. Disclaimer that I am an iced coffee drinker though so maybe that’s the disconnect. ... show more

  • Don't buy through zip thru
Color: White Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Great mug, bought it as a gift for somebody. Bought 43 dollar white mug with the outdoor lid. Ordered it got the mag slider lid. Checked the price for that and same mug goes for 30 dollars. Contacted the company. Said I can contact Amazon and get the return process started. Asked if I could get the correct lid, they said they don't ship the other lid separate. All in all, small gripe, but my opinion, buy the mug, just make sure it's not through this company. Zip thru ... show more

  • The Paint Fails
Color: White Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I loved this cup, but the paint started falling off after 4 years. Probably about 1000 cycles in a standard dishwasher. Otherwise, it was handled very carefully. I assumed it was not as dishwasher safe as claimed, but other reviews say the paint fails without dishwasher use. I replaced it with an all-Stainless version (no paint). ... show more

  • This Review is Lukewarm but This Yeti Mug is Still a Hot Prospect
Color: Seafoam Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Well, from the name of this product, you’d really think it’s a monster, but this mug is almost regular-sized. Just a little bit squat. Or should I say Sas-squat? :) This will be a long review, so you may as well get yourself a cuppa. "Double-wall vacuum insulation keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot until the last sip" is how the product is described, and it doesn't fully live up to that promise. Still, I think this mug is worth buying. The first time I used this mug, my coffee stayed hot for about twenty minutes, warm for another fifteen or so, and just tepid thereafter. I’m not sure why other reviewers say their coffee stays warm for hours, but perhaps they ordered the separate lid that closes completely. The one that came with this mug is the kind that is just an open slit, so it’s not as effective at keeping heat in. The tiny tab makes it slightly difficult to pull off the lid, and there is a vacuum seal, so if you do it with a full cup of coffee or tea, set it down on a hard surface for leverage so it doesn’t spill on you. Since the sides are smooth, there’s no traction for your hands. The second time I used it, I ran the empty mug and lid under hot water before adding my heated coffee to it and it did stay warmer, longer. No matter what, though, with this model, the heat will dissipate through the slit opening. By the third try, I ran the mug and lid under hot water, put the heated coffee in, and also put a make-shift covering over the slit opening. It helped somewhat, but I still needed to re-heat after an hour or so. The covering I used was a napkin, weighted down by a round fridge magnet. Despite its shortcomings, I’m still a believer. It does save me from having to re-heat in the microwave as often. I’m a slow sipper, and since I add creamer to my coffee, I’ll inevitably end up with that dreaded layer of burnt-creamer film across the top of it which has to be scooped off. This is a nice, solid mug and the handle is comfortable enough, although it’s not padded. It’s not spill-proof due to the slit opening, so I wouldn’t recommend taking it with you in your car. Also, I doubt the wider bottom would fit into any standard cup holder. Another minor issue is that condensation forms underneath the lid which may dilute your coffee. In closing, I do recommend this mug, but if it’s imperative that your cuppa stay piping hot, consider the magnetic slider lid version. Told you this would be a long review! Thanks for listening. PS Just a reminder not to put this mug into the microwave, as its inside is made of stainless steel. It’s easy to forget that it’s not microwave-safe, since the outside is a seafoam color with just a hint of silver across the top, making it look like a regular mug. The reminder not to put it into the microwave is on the inside of the label in small print, so you may miss it. Update on 2-7-19 I'm not as bullish on this mug after using it for almost a month due to the difficulty of opening the mug once condensation from coffee steam forms a vacuum seal. I'm not sure keeping your coffee slightly warmer for a little bit longer is worth the hassle of having to fight with your mug to get it open. Coffee break or tea time is supposed to be peaceful! ... show more

  • Fantastic Work Mug with (Somewhat) Frustrating Lid
Color: Black Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Synopsis (TL:DR): This is a fantastic, durable mug that will keep your drinks warm for a moderate amount of time. However, the included lid can be somewhat of a hassle to clean and remove from the mug. I would definitely recommend this product. However, just be aware that it will only keep drinks warm for a couple hours. Overview: I bought this mug to use as a "to-go" mug of sorts. Something that I could use primarily while at work. I wanted something that I didn't need to "baby" and that would keep my coffee warm for a little bit of time. So far, that's exactly what I got, and I am extremely happy with it. Temperature: With the lid on, this mug keeps my coffee warm for a couple hours, which is what I expected. The lid is made of a thicker plastic that has a single hole for sipping. There is no included way to cover the hole in order to preserve heat or prevent spillage, so this cuts down on the mug's ability to maintain temperature. It serves my purposes well though, considering it never takes me more than an hour or two to finish my coffee before I need to refill it. Also, due to its "vacuum insulated" design, the heat never transfers to the outside of the mug, so no need to worry about burning your hands with a hot drink (but now it can't be used as a hand-warmer in cold weather *shrug*). The top rim, however, can get rather hot, so be cautious if drinking without the lid. Durability: I have had absolutely zero issues thus far with denting or scratching. I purchased the black version, and there are no signs of the black coating coming off. The coating feels extremely nice in the hand, and the wider handle makes the mug easy to hold without issue. Cleaning/The Lid: This is the only issue that I have with the mug, and it's an extremely minor one. The lid has a rubber strip (or gasket) that wraps around the bottom in order to keep it in place and prevent any unwanted liquid from seeping through. It definitely does both of those things, however this means that the lid can sometimes be extremely difficult to remove. Definitely take care when removing the lid with liquid in the mug as to not spill it. Liquid will also get trapped in between the gasket and the lid, so simply running the lid through water won't completely clean it. You'll still be able to see residue through the clear plastic. Spotless cleaning requires the removal of the rubber gasket, which also isn't the easiest process. With this issue, however, the rubber gasket definitely does its job, and is not a total deal-breaker. Also, take precautions if you fill the mug all the way up to the lid. Since the included lid simply has an open hole, it is quite easy to spill with any sudden moves, like getting into your vehicle (yes, I have quite a bit of experience with this issue). This can be solved my purchasing the MagSlider lid, however that does not come with this product by default (at least at the time that I purchased it). It also makes a nice metallic *ting* when you tap it, so there's that... ... show more
