Best innovation from Yeti. I have two other bottles from them, the Rambler with the chug cap and the Yonder. They are all great bottles. However, the only drawback is that you have to twist the top off and then drink. In Yeti's defense, they offer accessories like straws or caps that can flip on and off, which can help mitigate this issue. Without these accessories, you would have to remove the top and then find a place to set it down, and that can be cumbersome when driving or on the move. The commuter cap solves this. Just twist and drink. The opening is discreet, and you cannot even tell it's there. The water flow is impressive as well. Just like with all their products, it's well built and easy to clean. Yes, it is truly leakproof when the lid is closed, and still easy to open and drink from. Also easy to take apart for cleaning. I have a couple of other Yeti models, but this is the first leakproof one, and I am very impressed with the design and quality!

    • Fine mug, but the plastic cap once hand-tightened can be very, very difficult to remove.

I purchased this to have a portable coffee mug that would work with an Aeropress. It is a great mug! The aeropress go fits in it at a slight tilt angle but works fine to brew coffee. I am giving this a negative review since the black threaded cap after two uses fit into the metal cup portion so tightly that it could not be removed even with various tricks such as runnning under hot tap water, freezing briefly, freezing briefly then running under hot tap water. I could not even remove the cap using pliers. I spent about an hour trying to remove the cap by various methods then gave up. I guess it still works as a thermos, but an aeropress will not fit in the plastic cap, only directly in the metal cup. ... show more

After a day with this Yeti Rambler insulated 20oz tumbler I can say that it keeps coffee hot well enough. It's good for sipping. Not drinking. Mine leaks several drops a minute unless the top is screwed on with some real force. I much prefer the unfailing liquid tight qualities of my Thermos brand "cup". It's easier to drink from too. My Thermos dosen't fit in my cup holder. So, I'll use this Yeti tumbler for now. But not if it will be in a bag or on it's side. ... show more
