I was pleased that this kept my food cold for two days with just a few ice packs, in 50-70 degree temps. I have a bit of buyers remorse with this though. It definitely is designed to carry beer into less traveled areas. Which would have been great for me 5 years ago. I gave up drinking and now I want to use this for kayak camping and picnics with my young son. It's hard to get food in and out of it and it doesn't hold very large containers.
