The zipper comes with balm because it’s hard to open and close without it. It holds a lot more than I thought which is perfect for a group of 4 to eat plus ice. Super lightweight and nice material. Worth the money in my opinion because it’ll last as long as you take care of it. Good stuff Yeti.

Love the Yetti Hopper Flip 12 Soft Cooler! The first thing that caught my attention was the compact size and lightweight design. It is the perfect size for our day trip or a weekend getaways. The shoulder strap makes it easy to carry and the compact size allows me to comfortably carry it through large hotels and venues. The outer shell is made of high-density material and the zipper is heavy-duty and has not shown any signs of wear or tear. The Yetti Hopper Flip 12 also has a leakproof design, which I appreciate. I have had many experiences with coolers leaking and making a mess, but this one has not leaked at all. I highly recommend the YETI Hopper Flip 12 Portable Soft Cooler for anyone looking for a reliable and durable cooler for their indoor or outdoor adventures.

I have many Yeti coolers but this is my first soft sided one. Like all of my others it is the best. Some helpful hints- Take Yeti's suggestions seriously about pre chilling the cooler. Throw an ice pack in there overnight or a tray of ice cubes. Pre chilling really extends the life of your ice. Also critical is not leaving space in the cooler. If you are not packing it full then throw a towel in there. I use bubble wrap which works great. Do not waste ice trying to cool empty space! To the zipper critics - I hear you. But I believe that if you are having trouble zipping the zipper then you are not using it correctly. This is a Y shaped anchor zipper. It is meant to wrap two fingers around. If you just try to pinch and pull it like a regular zipper you will suffer. Also you need to make sure it zips ALL the way to the end. The last inch is a pain but critical to keep air out. Lastly, the cooler comes with zipper lube. There is no better time to lube the zipper then when you first receive it because the teeth are nice and clean. Destroying a Yeti cooler is almost impossible and it has the best insulation. You get what you pay for.

The media could not be loaded. Took this with me kayaking! The material is very durable! Even the zipper comes with lubricant and the zipper is very durable! Got mud on it and i was able to easily clean it off and it still look NEW, so it was very easy to clean and wipe down! And I just love how vibrant the orange is. It kept my bag of ice in for over 24hrs did its job!

This is my first Yeti cooler so I had high expectations. I did a test at home before I used the cooler. I filled it with ice and let it sit inside with no sun. It lasted three days but most of the ice had melted by the third day. We have taken this cooler to the beach in 93 degree weather and the ice held up pretty good. Although there was melted ice, I would say about half the ice was still there. Our drinks were very cold like they just came out of the refrigerator perhaps even colder! On a hot day, that made this cooler worth the price. This cooler is much bigger than what the pictures show. It holds 9 cans with ice. I filed it as full as possible. I didn't put bottles in the cooler but it will hold a good amount of those too. The cooler is light weight and has a nice solid strap that doesn't dig into your arm. The only thing I don't like is the zipper. It takes a good tug just to get it to move. I assume that is because this cooler does not leak at all. If you are sitting down and the cooler isn't at the right angle, it's hard to open. I applied the lube that was supplied also and that didn't make a difference. It's still hard to open. Other than that, it truly does what it says. It holds a good amount and will keep your items ice cold on the hottest day.
