I love brands like Yeti. Expensive but you know it’s going to last for a very long time, can take a beating and it is going to do exactly what it is supposed to 90% of the time. Just as described my daughter loves the color. The one thing I would have is an exterior pocket, but it’s really not a big deal. The Seller did mess up originally and send me a green Yeti lunchbox. Locally the Team at Amazon was willing to refund me and credit me so I can re-purchase and receive the hopper I originally ordered so I didn’t have to wait for them to receive it and verify it and possibly argue with them again as to why I was returning a lunchbox and not a hopper. ... show more

I purchased the YETI Hopper Flip 12 Portable Cooler in Black, and I could not be happier with it. This all-black color seems to have been discontinued, so it was extremely difficult to find this exact size and color combination. After going to a minimum of 7 different physicial stores, I finally decided to try my luck online. I was stoked when I found it on Amazon, although I was nervous to spend this kind of money on a supplier I was unfamilar with but I took a shot anyway as my hubby really wanted this color specifically. My hubby is a pilot and is often gone on trips for up to five days at a time, so he needs a cooler that can truly keep food cold or frozen without the risk of everything defrosting too quickly and spoiling. This cooler has performed beyond our expectations. It fits perfectly on top of his pilot roller bag/carry-on, which makes it easy for him to travel with the cooler & his personal bag. The size is also ideal. It fits six 2-cup glass Pyrex storage containers, along with ice packs on both the top and bottom, without having to stretch the zipper, seams, or body of the bag. Everything stays frozen for nearly the entire trip, even on trips lasting up to five days. The supplier was also excellent. I got this for my wife since she loved my Roadie 15 but wanted something alittle smaller. She loves it no more fighting to put her lunch in the fridge she can put in on a shelf and it stays cold all day. We got lucky and got a great deal on due to the discontinued color (which is loud) so that was a score! We've definitely turned into those Yeti people now but they make some great products ... show more

    • Kept My Breastmilk Frozen for 15+ Hours

I bought this Yeti cooler to transport frozen breastmilk during a flight from Puerto Rico to Michigan. After a lot of research, I chose Yeti for its reputation and insulation quality, and it did not disappoint. I cooled the cooler in the fridge the night before, then packed it with two Yeti ice packs and about 75 ounces of frozen milk. I only opened it once at TSA for verification and then kept it sealed until I arrived more than 15 hours later. Everything was still frozen solid. For my purpose, it was exactly what I needed. It is compact, durable, and the insulation is incredibly effective. I carried it on the plane with no issues, and it fit under the seat and overhead without trouble. It was light enough to carry in addition to my carry on and back pack (and did not count as extra luggage). If you are using this for medical transport, baby essentials, or anything that requires consistent cold storage, I highly recommend it. Just keep in mind that it is a smaller cooler. If you are planning to use it for a beach day or to carry more than a few cans or snacks, I would suggest going with the next size up. This cooler works wonderfully, is the perfect compact size, and is easy to carry even when it’s full. It retains the cool temp and truly does its job! While it does come with zipper lubricant, the zipper is still pretty tough to open and close.
