  • Great little TIG welder for the beginner or hobby welder!
Style: TIG-205P Pulsed TIG Welder
This thing can TIG weld!. I was TIG welding with my yeswelder Mig250 Pro and the results were... Let's say less than optimal. Once I broke this puppy out and used the Pulse mode it was like night and day! Now mind you this was my second attempt at TIG welding because TIG on the Mig250 Pro was just so frustrating and on my second attempt with this machine I was already getting that stack of dimes look, on PULSE. I highly recommend using a welding calculator for your settings or in my case AI to get your starting parameters for what your welding. Thi machine is good for up to ¼ thick steel and maybe a little beyond that at 200 amps. I welded ¼ thick at 175 amps with great results using a 3/32 thoriated tungsten (although you could go lanthiated its much safer, thorium is radioactive and when you grind it, it releases little asbestos like fibers so make sure you wear a respirator if going that route, although I personally feel thorium is just the best tungsten). For your frequency shoot for 33, it's the magic number, set your secondary pulse amps at 50-70% of your primary and your pre gas and upslope, downslope and post gas I let AI do the thinking. The welder itself is built cheaper than say your Lincoln or Miller but hey it's not a professional grade welder for a career welder. It's more a hobby welder. The instructions are terrible so watch some videos if it's your first time. The UI is easy to configure and laid out in a simple manner. I can't say how long it'll last as I've only had it 2 weeks. The design is good and it also looks sleek. Here's a picture of my literal second attempt at TIG on 1/4 hot rolled flat stock steel that's been prepped using a thoriated 3/32 tungsten with around 1/4' tungsten stickout, a #6 glass lens (not included, but recommended for the beginner) 15 psi flow rate at the regulator and using 3/32 filler rod. It's just me laying a bead not actually welding a joint but it's obviously fully capable of that! ... show more

  • Works as advertised.
Style: TIG-205P Pulsed TIG Welder
So I’ve seen many reviews so far people saying that the foot pedal doesn’t actually control the current mine actually does and it works as advertised so five stars. The foot pedal is not an on off switch. It works as a throttle.

  • Great budget machine with possible quality control issues
Style: TIG-205P Pulsed TIG Welder
The welder works really great, especially for the price, however I ran into some quality control issues. I've used it for 1/16" tubing to build frames and even fixed holes in sheet that is thinner than 22 gauge. I highly recommend the foot pedal from them for the most controlled and cleanest welds. Pros: - The pulse feature is very useful and fully adjustable as far as duty cycle and interval. - It handles low amperage welds for super thin stuff (pulse can help a lot here as well) - It is extremely light weight (can be seen as a positive and a negative) - The control interface is pretty intuitive. - Pre and Post flow are fully adjustable. - The biggest bonus here is the price and value you get. Cons: - The fan is loud and it constantly runs at full force. (It's more of a nuisance than I originally expected) - The welding lead connections are very small and I have never seen that size in my professional welding career - The small connections mean you can't use any of your standard ground clamps, stick holders, or lead extensions - Build quality seems pretty flimsy (but that makes it light I guess... And cheap) - The biggest issue I've run into so far is the screen was not turning on at all but the fans were. I was in the middle of a job which luckily was 5 minutes from my house but still I had to leave for the day and come back once I fixed it. Once I took off the case (18 Philips screwa that were way over tightened and I stripped the very last one, of course, which I had to drill out) I found that the screen PCB (Printed Circuit Board) had its plug half unplugged. The plug didn't have any plastic clips holding it in, just some red silicone stuff. I'm not sure if there are supposed to be clips but they were broken. After finding that it made me concerned about the more expensive MIG welder and plasma cutter I have from them. I guess it is something you should come to expect with this price tag. I did not reach out to yeswelder so I can not comment on their customer service. All in all I think it is a very capable machine that would be perfect for a hobbiest, beginner, or cheap scape (me). I rarely do welding jobs anymore but I might have to buy a machine that won't leave me stranded like this one did. ... show more

  • Great Machine Held Back by Serious Ground Clamp Issue - Updated
Style: TIG-205P Pulsed TIG Welder
I really wanted to love the TIG-205P Pro. For the price, it offers impressive features, clean arc starts, and easy controls — everything I was looking for in a light TIG welder. Unfortunately, after only 2 hours of use, the stock ground clamp cable melted and completely severed at the connection point. This wasn’t due to misuse — I was running well within the machine’s capabilities. Upon inspection, the included cable is only 16mm² (roughly #5 AWG), which seems undersized for a machine rated to output 200+ amps. Combine that with what appears to be a poor or loose internal connection at the clamp, and the result is overheating, melted insulation, and a failed cable. This is more than an inconvenience — it’s a serious safety concern. I’ve reached out to Yeswelder directly and am hopeful they’ll make it right by sending a properly rated ground cable and addressing this flaw in future builds. If the grounding issue is resolved, this would be a solid 5-star machine. But until then, I strongly recommend replacing the ground cable and clamp immediately if you buy this unit. Update: After posting my initial review, Yeswelder customer service reached out promptly and offered to send a replacement ground clamp, no hassle. They explained that the failure was likely caused by poor contact between the clamp and the workpiece, which can cause overheating due to high current flow — a fair point. I still believe the included ground cable may be undersized for a machine capable of over 200 amps and will update again if that proves to be true. That said, customer service was excellent, and I appreciate their support! ... show more

  • BUYER BEWARE!!!
Style: TIG-205P Pulsed TIG Welder
This welder is a welder you buy to sit in the corner and use once in a while, that "will work" in a pinch. This welder is great, up until you weld with it using the YesWelder Pedal that is made for this welder. The welder is great for mid range and higher ranger amperage. Once you get down to the 50A and under, it becomes a pile of junk! I bought the pedal made for this welder (according you YesWelder) and the machine/pedal completey disengages at 30A. So if you are welding on thin material at, lets say for example 50A and you want to trail your arc out to avoid divents and/or pinholes, you only have 20A to work with (50A but cots off at 30A, which leaves 20A play with a pedal). This welder is great for a utility or in a pinch, but for welding anything that is thin at low amperage, this welder is garbage. Stay away if you will be welding on any sheetmetal, thin edges when using pulse, anything small and thin, STAY AWAY AND GET A NAME BRAND WELDER!!! I heard great things about YesWelder Customer Service, but I have reached out to them on their website and they have completely gone dark, and just ignoring the issue completely. Have bought many YesWelder products up to this point, and I will be staying away and buying name brand from here on out. Spend the money on higher quality na e brands, you will NEVER be disappointed! ... show more

  • Best welder for the money of all time!
Style: TIG-205P Pulsed TIG Welder
I have been a certified professional welder for over 20 years and own countless welders. This little thing performs amazing, considering the price. I was very sceptical when I bought it but figured what the heck for 200 bucks I cant go wrong if it works. When I unboxed it the cables and stuff are slightly cheap looking but hey, you get what you pay for. I ran a bunch of sample weld set ups starting with stick. I plugged the welder in to my Honda EU 3500 portable generator in the 30A plug. I ran beads on flat plate starting from 30 amps all the way to 100 amps on the welder with no problem! That was the most I could get out of it on the generator, but it is still amazing, considering it runs off of a generator. Then I plugged it into my 220 power off of my miller and ran beads consistently for about an hour perfectly at full power with no problems at all. It is amazing as the unit is so light compared to my other units. I plan to buy another one for 200 bucks and use it when I work in remote locations that do not require heavy ship welds. This thing is awesome; you can't go wrong with the price. I recommend buying it and getting insurance on it. You will be welding in no time, and if anything happens, you can return or replace it. You can buy 12 of these instead of 1 comparable miller. Nuff said ... show more
