Make no mistake this is NOT a cold weather use balaclava. This item is thin. I knew this and sort of got what I was looking for in a balaclava that is designed for late spring, early fall weather to protect protect my face against the elements. The item will definitely keep the sun off your face (provided you get a white or reflective color) and is comfortable to wear all day. Motorcycle or bike riders using helmets will find this useful. Due to the items thinness it doesn't prevent dust or harsh smells, which is what i was hoping, and cost the item a star. ... show more

It is very loose. I thought it would be tighter but it's not. I can breathe through it with no issue. It is comfortable and washable, and the quality was ok, but it doesn't keep your face of neck really warm.
