We took this on a two week hiking adventure in California‘s National Parks. The ice blocks at the bottom would stay frozen for several days, but the smaller added top ice had to be replaced daily as most of it would melt. Stuff stayed VERY cold, and we never worried about it leaking as we carried it to and from the truck and swung it up into the bed of the truck. It closes securely even without the handle locked in the up position. My only gripe is that it doesn’t have a drain hole, but then that would give another place for a seal to wear out and start leaking.
