This quilt set is absolutely stunning! I received it yesterday and popped it in the dryer to fluff up the cotton fabric. I'll wash it only when it needs washing. There was no odor in it. But it's very well made. It was huge on our king sized bed and I love that! Not too thick or thin imo. Perfect for our needs, because we don't like to sleep hot. I like the fact that this is lightweight and it still keeps me warm on chilly nights. I haven't had it very long and it's not even summer yet so I don't know if it will be too hot to cover up with in the summer when it gets warmer. I love the pattern and I bought turquoise sheets to match it.

*****UPDATE**** I have now owned this set for 2 yrs and I can not tell you how pleased I am (reason for an update). It has went through several washes and drying on the dryer and still to this day it is as beautiful as when I first got it. The color has not faded nor has anything ripped. EXTREMELY PLEASED. This is exactly like the picture. The colors are bold and it really is a beautiful quilt. It is made well. I washed and dried it before use and it held up fine. Good buy. ... show more

This is a beautiful light weight quilt coverlet set that is perfect for summer or a tropical climate. The material is a comfortable soft cotton and the colours and pattern are lovely. It would have been nice if it came with more accessories like the accent pillows seen in the photos but apparently they aren't available. The comforter would be perfect for a king size bed IF it was slightly wider. The length is great but it's just not quite wide enough for my pillow top king size mattress. It would likely be ok with a bed skirt and/or on a bed with a wooden side rail where the box spring doesn't show. ... show more

Colorful but not loud, lightweight cotton for Florida weather, not a comforter, ordered king for queen bed so it touched the floor. Only issue then is the pillow shams are a bit too large.
