I got this cane/seat for my 83 year old friend for Christmas. He is still quite active for his age and "jogs" 2 miles every morning. Sometimes he's not so steady half way into the jog ... and was getting winded or light headed. Being stubborn as he is (I told him maybe a walk and not jog is better at this point) but he still wants to get out there. Anyway he loves that he can sit down down when he feels like he needs to. And the cane is still light weight enough that he can jog with it in hand! He has also used it while waiting in very long lines and brings it with him on outings where there might be a lot of walking involved. It's pretty sturdy and can open and close easily. It was a little stiff and hard to open and close when he first got it but after loosening it up after a few times its pretty smooth now. I like that it has adjustable legs to accommodate for a taller person to sit on comfortably. The only thing that I don't care for is that you have to sit on it "backwards" with the seat in between your legs in order to stay stable. An older lady friend of mine who could benefit from using this refuses because she wears skirts or dresses all of the time and feels its "unladylike" to be sitting there (getting on and off of it) with your legs spread open (I get that). Overall its a good value for the money and made well.

I like this Cane with Folding Seat more than I expected. Although the seat is obviously not designed for prolonged use, it is comfortable enough to sit on for several minutes at a time. The Cane Seat requires some assembly before it can be used. The assembly instructions are simple and easy to understand, but they may not be necessary for most people. The LED flashlight in the handle of the cane requires two AA batteries that are not included, and it's operated by a push-on/push-off button-switch that unscrews to allow installing the batteries. The "Magnetic Therapy Stones" in the handle are unimpressive; nonetheless, I give this Cane with Folding Seat, five stars.

So far I've used it twice and it can be adjusted perfectly short enough for my 5'1" height, and the seat seems stable enough for my 200lb self, and comfortable enough to meet my expectations. However I'm now skeptical about the advertised performance of " will support upto 400 lbs" when I consider the tiny plastic ring bracket that supports all the weight on this open seat, and read the enclosed material! Note that in the included literature this claim shows a picture of the cane laid horizontally suspended across 2 tables, and 2 people standing on the metal shaft of the cane! It does not show a 400lb person SITTING on the seat! How misleading is this 400lb test! I'm sure that the metal shaft is strong enough to not give way, but I'm far less confident about this small plastic ring supporting all the weight on the seat for long durations (the whole purpose of investing in this product!) I'm also concerned for the life expectancy for this seat with continued use. My photos show that when the seat is in full open position, the upper ring rest upon the smaller lower ring, held in place by a screw with about 1/4inch of plastic above the screw hole, which could potentially crack if over stressed! I will now be continuously checking this plastic ring bracket for stress lines, with credible acknowledgement of the two other reviews that stated their seat bracket broke and they fell off! Hopefully my cane/seat will survive through my next cruise and touring adventures ashore. Fingers crossed! So buyer beware: I would not recommend this product for a heavier person!

I used this once. At 430lbs at the time (it was months ago.. but it traumatized me horribly) I bought it in hopes of doing more with my kids. (Last fall 2023) On my very first outing with severe sciatica and back issues so frequent sitting is necessary as is cane to stabilize walking.. On about the third sitting the longest bar snapped right off when I sat on the stool! I came crashing down and bruised my leg up. AND I then had no cane to make my way home in the chaos it got thrown away (clearly unrepairable) and had to get help to get home. Out of $50, my optimism to get more mobile, and my ability to relax .. It was an awful humiliating day. Until last weekend (April 12th 2024) I didn't do ANY social events because the embarrassment was SO hard for me to recover from... And only it was with the wheelchair my doctor prescribed. I was under max capacity though. There is NO reason that bar should have snapped on first use. Buyer beware! The strength of the weight bearing leg, or the max capacity HAVE to be changed! I worry so much! Someone IS going to get hurt! Ne careful!

When in "cane" mode the legs stick out giving a potential trip hazard. I would not suggest for general walking use but ok for situations where you expect to spend a lot of time in lines, museums or parks. If hiking, NO! Get one that the legs and seat fold to the "cane". The seat does not collapse around the came which is also awkward when walking. Good price for what it is. LED light nice feature.

I admit I was a bit nervous about ordering this cane. It arrived and I got it assembled and folded the seat down and sat on it. It is so sturdy and feels incredibly stable. It’s very easy to use and is still lightweight. The seat was actually very comfortable and I felt safe sitting on it. The handle is very comfortable and the light is incredibly bright which will be great for evening activities. The cane is also quite compact and can be easily stored. I’ve already recommended this cane to a couple other people.

The second time I used it I was writing up a deal with a customer he didn’t have any shares. That’s why I bought it and it snapped and I fell backwards into the wall and hurt my back really bad. This thing is a piece of crap.
