    • Large, weathertight, and easy to assemble
This is exactly as advertised. It is made of a very heavy vinyl material that is sewn and closed in on all edges. The bottom is a separate reinforced piece that is fully sealed to the rest of the outside skin. The top is angled to let snow and rain slide off and it fits tightly with about a 3-4" overlap. The straps are strong and the buckles are beefy. Installation is easy. There are metal bars and plastic elbow connectors that you use to build the internal frame which the skin gets pulled around. It can be taken down as easily as it is assembled although you will want a rubber mallet to get the elbow all the way on or off. Once built, the skin fits very tightly so it holds its shape very nicely. The dimensions are exactly as advertised. The only potential "flaw" (if you could call it that) is that there is a wonderful vent fairly low at the front to allow moisture to escape so the contents stay dry. It is covered fully by a heavy vinyl flap that has a Velcro closure with a mesh panel sewn in behind that to the there is not an actual opening into the box. A determined animal looking for winter shelter could get their head under the edge of the flap and chew though the mesh but that is far less onerous than having moisture in the box ruin what you put into it. You could always install snaps if animal intrusion was a significant concern but seeing the flap as a potential "flaw" is really splitting hairs because this is a GREAT storage solution and it is far less expensive than inferior hard plastic boxes that do not actually seal. I highly recommend this and can see why others have purchased more than one of these. ... show more

    • Awesome for storing patio cushions!
I never write product reviews but I liked this enough to take the time to do so. I got tired of lugging my patio furniture cushions back and forth from my deck to my shed as I only leave my cushions out in good weather. I wanted something I could leave on the deck, that was sturdy, and looked good. I spotted this on Amazon and took a chance. I'd also like to mention I have used plastic deck boxes in the past, but over time they fade and left out in the elements the lids warped, and let water in and things in the box got wet, moldy and stinky. I am very pleased with my purchase to say the least. I had no trouble assembling the unit and did it in less than 15 minutes which included time to read instructions and layout the pieces. I love that no tools were necessary. It is well built yet easy to move around. We've had rain, and it just rolls off the unit, to be fair, it helps that my patio cushions created a dome on top, so there is no water pooling. The clasps around the top make it easy to adjust for size, snug it up, or loosen it to suit your needs. Because I have dogs, and want to hose the deck off from time to time, I did place the unit on top of a few pieces of wood to let the water run off the deck, and hence below the unit; I didn't want it to smell if I was hosing dog urine. To give you an idea of what type of patio furniture cushions my deck box is holding - I have a 'couch' which includes 3 cushions you sit on, 3 back supports, 2 pillows. Two large swivel deck rocker - 4 additional cushions, and 6 flat cushions for the chairs at the table. That's a total of 18 cushions. It is a PERFECT fit! Great purchase. ... show more

    • Poor Fit - Velcro Fasteners came unglued - How did it leak?
This was my second Yard Stash product. The first is a bicycle tent that does an excellent job of hiding and protecting my bikes or anything else that I put in it when I go camping. However it is a little cumbersome and not the easiest to set up at a campsite. So I decided to try the outdoor storage box because it was a great size, constructed of the same heavy, durable material and, I thought, would be easy and quick to assemble at a campsite upon arrival. While the reviews of the materials and idea are all still valid, set up has become an issue because the frame does not fit well within the storage box material. It is a little too large to easily place inside the storage box. I have tried for several days now, hoping that the material might stretch or expand just a little but it doesn't. Also, I noticed that if I try to force the frame inside of the cover it puts stress on the seams so clearly that is not the answer. Since I do like the storage box and it does suit my needs I guess that I will need to trim the components of the frame. Perhaps reducing (by trimming) the 4 rods that run across the width of the storage box will allow the frame to fit inside the cover more easily and not put stress on the seams. I hope so! I do like what should be a great addition to my campsite! After some time (one month sitting out in my yard) with the "Waterproof deck box" in which I hoped that the material might give a little to help it fit and work better I was very disappointed when I opened the lid and found that all of the velcro strips, that were glued to the inside of the container to hold the frame rods in place, had separated from the inside of the box, coming unglued from the sides of the waterproof material. In addition to this, while it appeared to me that the top overlapped the three open sides of the container and the fourth side was the highest, it turned out not to be waterproof. We did have some rain during that time period, but not much, I live in Phoenix AZ. So I was disappointed when I found rust and some moisture in the spring locks that lock the frame pieces in place. It still seems like a great idea to me but unfortunately the performance has been very disappointing. I won't buy another one like this. ... show more

    • Framing needs adjusted
I like this product, the only reason it is not 5 stars is due to the frame sizing, putting it together it is an extremely tight fit to the point the right hand corner would not place properly and was about an inch short frpm the corner, it would not stretch past the back corner to fit correctly, i had to cut about a half inch from the back rail on right side in order to be able to stretch it into place. Otherwise it is a good sturdy weatherproof storage, we use it on our top deck to store our camping equipment, i may end up buying another at some point but please look into the framing and test it before sending it so people dont have to make adjustments to it. ... show more
