First, I was worried that this rake might be a bit rickety because the long arm is made up of several shorter sections. But once assembled, the rake feels solid. The assembly was simple; you simply line up the holes on one section to spring-loaded buttons on another section that pop up through the holes to hold the sections together. I discovered that one of the sections needs to be assembled at the end (not the middle) in order to get the holes to line up with the corresponding buttons. Otherwise, it was a carefree and easy assembly. I don't believe that I truly understood or appreciated the angle and pitch of the tines of a rake until I saw the tines of this rake in action. The tines of this rake are unique among all of my other various rakes, in that they all curve downward about 90 degrees, and are lined up in a rounded, curved formation that maximizes tine contact with the ground when held at the proper angle. Once I noticed this innovation, it seemed rather ingenious. And most importantly, it did a fantastic job of raking my freshly cut grass from my lawn. It also did a decent job raking pine cones from the lawn, and removing leaves from the sidewalk after I trimmed the hedge. Because the handle can be made longer or shorter (by removing or adding sections), in spite of your height you can easily adjust the rake to use it at the most effective angle. I am quite pleased and impressed with this rake.

This is such a great rake! I was so surprised how sturdy this rake is, it has sections that have easy push button type attachments. I love that I can break it down in seconds to store it in the Winter when I’m not using it. You can use all 4 sections and it’s perfect for tall people, I’m 5’9” and you can see its super long in my photo. You can leave sections out to meet your height requirements, so it’s very versatile. Once it’s together nothing moves, it’s solid feeling no play in the joints whatsoever. The rake is perfect size and heavy duty metal with rivets holding it together. Should a rivet eventually break you could replace it with a nut and bolt but it feels very secure and should last. I love the long handle and the rake size is very manageable. I use it to re-heap my compost pile after I add scraps to it, it works great. It’s also good for grass and in the Fall I’ll be using it for leaves. Pretty impressive rake for a multi section style, it’s much sturdier than expected and I really love it. Highly recommend

Good points: The handle is sturdy and should hold up to a lot of use. The head of the rake is also sturdy and shows good fit and finish. It is easy to assemble and take apart. Once apart it fits in a drawer. The handle goes together in sections so there is the option of not using all of the sections for a shorter rake to give you that option. This moved it from 3 stars to 4 for me. Bad points: None. A good buy all around.

i got a nice broom a few months ago that had a sectioned handle with it so that I was able to make it longer than usual. I absolutely love using it for our big deck and sidewalks. I'm 6' tall and normal rakes and brooms always feel a little short. I can really reach out with the longer handle. It cuts my work time down a bunch. Now, this rake. The handle is in 4 numbered sections and need to be assembled in order. They have double snap-out spring loaded fasteners that hold great. The fasteners and the metal in the handle are both substantial, both in strength and weight. The head is all metal and the tines are pretty strong. I wish it were a little wider but it is normal size. Everything seems to be well made and meant to last. We live at the edge of a large area of timber. Leaf raking is a very serious job for us. When you rake leaves like we do having a long handle makes the job much easier. I'm very happy with this rake!

This leaf rake is truly an excellent value. The rake adjusts for people of different heights -- a real boon for those of us who are short but also have tall helpers. Assembling the rake is easy -- just slide one section onto the others and secure with the spring-loaded pins. I left one of the sections out for my own personal use, but I am happy that adjusting it for a taller person will take mere seconds. I was somewhat concerned that the pole would be wobbly but the connections hold it so there's no wobble or rickety feeling while using the rake. The rake definitely does the job I expect it to, and the adjustable length feature is icing on the cake. I highly recommend this rake.

The handle for this rake comes in four pieces that snap together - I wasn't sure if this would make it less solid when using it, but so far at least it feels stiff and responsive. And I love the length, it's longer than average which provides better coverage as you're raking the yard. I have a couple of large live oak trees in my front yard, and every year I have to pick up LOTS of acorns. This rake is nice and solid and shouldn't have any trouble helping with that task. Really heavy-duty, I'd call it commercial quality. Recommend.

Good quality, strong & durable rake. It is very easy to adjust, vey god length, strong handles but it is a little wobbly maybe, but still works good and would still recommend. The price is definitely a little more expensive than I would purchase for myself but still a good rake.

This rake comes in 5 pieces that snap together. All pieces are metal. The metal seems adequately thick enough to last a season or several seasons. It is hard to say really due to many places that can fail due to it snapping together. The rake head itself is robust and feels sturdy. The handle feels a little thin in diameter compared to a standard wooden rake. It is light weight due to its all-metal construction and hollow design.
